Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Don't Say Wrry Edition

excited for Ceasar. not so much for ACDC.

Is the second Blu-Ray out yet? And if so does anyone have a link where I can download look at it?

Finished off Part III finally, just barreled through the final parts today. Second half was a lot better than the first for sure. Although I think the Dio fight felt rushed I was happy with the arc overall, will look better animated for sure.

I started Part IV, got all of two pages in when the “U” used for you and numbers like 2 instead of to got to me. Whoever did these translations should be shot. I know someone posted a better Part IV around here so will check it out soon.

*lol looks like you stumbled onto the Duwang scans for part 4.

Here’s the link for the High Qual scans for prosperity.*

Thanks, went back a page and got the same link you posted. I have to say originally I had no interest in Josuke or Part IV due to what I’ve heard and visually, he didn’t seem so…cool? Lol.

But actually reading it I am enjoying the tale, and Josuke is rather entertaining. The constant hair jokes and his shift from modest and nice to fuck yo couch mode is cool. Part III felt like a Beat 'Em Up as a story, this feels more like Scooby Doo as an anime with murder and crazy involved.

Part 4 is waaay less serious than 3.

ACDC’s biggest purpose to be in this game is to have his crying tirade in some form or shape. Maybe as a counter super.

Yeah, it’s pretty laidback but I like it. The comical aspects and Bow story have me intrigued. Okuyasu is entertaining.

Esidisi can probably fulfill a Dhalsim-Esque role. With his blood boil and using his own veins like tentacles, he also has the spine roll thing. I’m not a fan of him but he could have an alright move list. Though if Kars and Stroheim don’t make it in because of him I’ll throw a hissy fit.

I don’t mind that part 4 isn’t as serious. It’s nice that Jojo doesn’t always have to up the ante with each part. In parts 4, 5, and even part 3 it’s more a matter of the stakes being of a personal nature rather than having the whole world hanging in the balance.

Part of part 4 felt like filler to me which I didn’t like but the final bunch of chapters in part 4 more than makes up for it.

Final Mode!

Jojo’s big thick hammer aint got shit on Wham’s Pillar.
Wish jojo’s was an hour long.

Ok, Old Man Joseph in Part IV beautifying the baby was pretty hilarious.

Episode 22 ruled, Whamuu is such a great character and his VO is outstanding. Chariot race looked pretty awesome as well.

Is there any reason why Tamami and Hazamada suddenly shrunk? Like does he give any reason why he decided to change them as such or just a whim situation? I think Tamami looks better tiny, but Hazamada looks off.

I like when the VAs say “Kamizuna arashi”, cuz’ you know, that’s how you say “I’mma na tear your tail up” in Japanese.

  • Hahahaha no reason Araki just started experimenting with his art around that time. You’ll notice a couple of characters get noticably dwarfed. I personally have a hunch he decided to make the minor characters… Well Minor.*

Not a bad point, but Tonio hardly does anything from this point forward and he isn’t a midget because of it lol. The art style is noticeably better and really taking shape in this arc, I think it looks lovely.

So when do we see the jojo that the world knows? Aka the Jojo from the fighting game? When do they learn those spirits n shit that they summon fighting for them? Is that all part of the ripple?

Part 3.

yeah stands come in at pt 3 then the ripple is pretty much abandoned until a very later pt

Episode 22

Spoiler

Weird CG aside (which wasn’t too distracting); that was pretty great. Seeing both Wham and Joesph trying to one-up each other in the race was fun to see; and you can sense how much Wham values a fight quite a bit - and the voice acting helped enhance that more than in the manga, IMO.
