Jonathan’s death was pretty sad ;_;. Last like 5 secs of the episode made me lose my shit. Fucking got goosebumps lol
Part 3, why? The original 13 or so episodes was pretty awesome. Can’t ask for much better.
Why not? The OVA only had a handful of the fights and the journey, things were changed and aside from the N’Doul, D’Arby and DIO fights it was pretty terrible. Sure it looked nice and everything but if we can get a full series or 2 that’s basically a 1 to 1 adaptation of the manga I’ll take that over the OVA any day.
Seriously the fighting game did a better job with the story than the OVA.

Uhhh yeah. Ok you like the OVA and I do to an extent but why would you want an incomplete story? Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency have been finished that’s why they’re airing, David productions would be retarded not doing Stardust Crusaders considering it’s what made JoJo’s massively popular.
Sure but NOT at the expense of the other arcs!! Unfortunately, you may get your wish. This new series is supposed to be 27 episodes long and part 1 is already finished. So at 9 episodes an arc…

As it is, i felt like part 1 went by a little TOO fast. You realize one of the perks to an anime adaptation is they can take some liberties that add-on and IMPROVE upon things the original manga did not? Hokuto No Ken for example has added content that was pretty awesome(not talking about the Shin filler arc either, badass though it was).
I seriously hope things weren’t compressed just so they could cram part 3 in there. However, the way part 1 flew by i really doubt part 2 will last any longer.
So congrats…part 3 starts at episode 19.
To be fair, part 1 was a bit short compared to part 2.
At the rate things are going, i can’t see Battle Tendency lasting 18 episodes. No way.

To be fair Phantom Blood is only 5 volumes long and while yeah the anime did hurry things along but we don’t know if all the parts will have the same pacing. Even if Battle Tendency (7 vols) only takes 12ish episodes to run through it won’t be enough episodes to run through Stardust Crusaders. Stardust Crusaders is longer than both Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency combined. We’ll just have to wait until next week when Battle Tendency premiers to see how much the first episode covers.
Phantom Blood ran at about 5 chapters per episode and finished it 9. If they go at the same rate for BT, it gets 14. Episode 26 will end with Jotaro in the prison cell.

[details=Spoiler]I never used to think much of Jonathan as a character, but re-reading Part 1 and seeing how the events of Part 1 led to everything that happened in the future, then watching the anime really made me reconsider him as a protagonist. He’s a true hero. Especially when he got Erina to rescue the baby because it reminded him of how his mother died. That part was really sad. Dio is truly an Omega-level dick, how you gonna attack someone on their honeymoon lol? And Jonathan STILL had affection for Dio until the very end. Massive respect for Erina too.
SO SAD!!! Can a brotha enjoy his wife?? Not on Dio’s watch!!!
And we been sippin on dat merlot…So you know whats next!!

They actually adapted everything in the conclusion; even the whole paradox with the coffin like in the manga. :lol: Quite a sad episode too; really showing how Jonathan was a hero and a bro to the end, even when it comes to Dio. Well done episode.

I enjoyed Johnathan more this time, kind of a shame to see him go. Joseph is my favourite Joestar, and Dio is my favourite villain so going into part 2 will be bittersweet, as I was growing used to Dio popping up every episode. It is a good thing the pillar men are great villains in their own rights.
