I share the sentiments regarding the sad event that happened in episode 7.
Episode 7
I’m…actually surprised they didn’t cut the part where the woman eats her baby. Plus the censorship isn’t as overbearing as the previous episodes. Dire and Straits sounded good, too. That said, we’re almost reaching to the climax of Phantom Blood…it’s going to get crazier from here.
Great episode, also loving the lead in to roundabout at the end of the most recent episodes, it really seems to make the last few moments of the episode that much more intense, and hypes me up even more for the next episode.
It’s amazing to see the impact the characters make with such little screen time, Zeppeli died on his fourth episode and it still had more impact than most characters who had much more screentime in other animes. I’m hyped as hell for part 2 (Joseph is my favourite Joestar)

He may have been a man who liked pepper on his sandwiches and dressing like a circus ringmaster, but he was more than that. He was one of the baddest mofos you’d ever see in your life. He dedicated his life to eradicating the Stone Mask, and all that it wrought, from the world. Even when he knew death was certain if he stayed on his path, he persisted because he knew that his will would carry on through Jonathan Joestar.
Seeing the star birthmark on Jonathan’s neck when he owned Tarkus was a nice touch. Also, it was pretty slick seeing one of Dio’s most evil moments animated, that poor baby. Still freaked out by Dio’s “monkey harem” though. Yeah, I know they’re actually dogs, but I had to get in on the gag. Apparently, Dio hates dogs so much he thought he’d try and “improve” some of them by giving them human heads (along with slapping cat heads on bird bodies).

So who is currently doing the best HD english subs of these? I only know 2 sources (GG and Commie) Though I don’t speak Japanese it seems GG adds their own spin on their subs at times.

4 Ball Run chapter 16
This chapter brings up even more questions about Gappys past and his prior relationships before losing his memory. What is his prior history with Holly, Kira and now the maid? How did he lose his memory? Why does it look like he’s been reconstructed using different body parts? JoJolion is pretty damn amazing so far. I’m loving the fact that [Soft & Wet] is physically the weakest stand in comparison to prior protagonists but it’s ability is one of the most diverse and can be used very strategically.
Jojo seems to read best when you can read several chapters at once.
Yeah I’m letting a bit of Jojolion build up before I get back into it.

Alas, Dire, we hardly knew ye. Then again, he didn’t last long much in the manga either. :lol:
Once again, the voice work and interaction between Jonathan and Dio take center stage this episode. You get to realize how enraged Dio is after he got hit by the ripple-powered rose and when he falls down after being KOed by Jonathan.
Next week: Phantom Blood finale! After that, onwards to Battle Tendency…
Every episode is better than the last.

Headless Dire’s the king
Rodimus’ screen caps+comments are always wicked.
Dire got wrecked lmao, but he got the last laugh in the end. I love how Dio totally lost his shit as soon as he got Hamon’d by Dire and kudos to Poco’s sister for slapping Dio. Dio’s voice actor Koyasu hamming it up, I love it. And finally, I like how Jojo cried at the end, even though Dio made his life hell, Jojo still had love for him.
Damn, didn’t even know Jojolion was out. Also, the music in the Jojo ads is sick.
