^I would kill though for an SFIII+Red Earth/WarZard collection.
A CPSIII collection would be AMAZING. Too bad it’ll never happen… much like a Marvel vs. collection would be sick, but not realistic.
btw, is this game worth getting for the DC? in terms of quality fighters that don’t see alot of mainstream play… also, is there any reason to get the US DC version over the JP DC version? vice-versa.
Definitely worth getting. Jap > us version because the blood is still in it.
The game is probably one of the best sleepers I’ve played in years. I’ve played for the first time ever during the spring break. And I could not put it down. I’m so stoked about I want a scene down here in south texas for it. Maybe some Jojo ranbats or somethin seeing as my friend is going to start having tournaments at our college. Dio seems like a very newb friendly fighter seeing as I’m more comfortable with his BnB’s and mixups. I tried Jotaro and Vanilla Ice but It got me my ass handed to me. Went on a good little winning steak with Dio. Discuss your characters and experiences with this gem. Show me what I missed out on.
…among other things like special effects for supers that are not in the US ver.
Plus the names are written correctly I belive.
BTW I wanted to ask somethings-
1- What is the current Tier List?
2- Where can I find match vids for this game, preferably new ones.
3- Who are banned in matches/tournies?
Is there any chance of a t*rrent of the Jap DC version?
Fuck, I don’t know why I didn’t see this earlier. For some reason, my subscription to this thread disappears. I wonder why?
Yeah, that’s pretty much surmised: I have to dash break to get most of Jojo’s/Dio’s combos to work.
[/quote[Kakyouin’s web? you mean the regular special? That’s pretty cake. Easiest way is in the air, but they don’t have to be. Try doing the motion during your string and holing the button. The web works on button release so you can do the motion at anytime and just release it when you want it to go off. Similar to stored supers in ST.[/quote]
The difficulty I’m encountering is the air web, land, ground web. It’s been a while, though, it’s difficult to remember them.
Hell, every combo I see on youtube. I can do links, with practice, I can sort of do dash-hop j.H after a 214L. But the CCs can give me a bit of trouble, ESPECIALLY the characters with pseudo stands(Joseph, Chaka).
Joseph in general I’ve got trouble with, particularly with the webgrab. Maybe I should just drop this damn pad and pick up a converter when I get my custom stick.
Are they still working on it?
BTW check the jojo thread in fighting game strategy, it had some good info IIRC
im curious i used to play maria and im wondering whats the official button layout for this game?
This is one of the first fighters I really got into (I had played for years prior but years ago when this first released, I’d rent it every week and play the shit out of it). Amazingly fun game, haven’t played it in 5+ years.
bump
anyone?
Mariah is basically run away while dropping magnets in the way, hopefully in the process tagging them a few times. Then basically what you want to set up is a sweep into 623A. This makes it so on wakeup the electric wire thing is on top of their head. Now do a 50/50. Either jump and do a quick overhead, or tap them low. Anyhow, if you hit with either the opponent is stuck for a second during the electric wire thing so…combo them and sweep them again back into the 50/50 mixup. Or combo into the 214AA super which will also reset them and put the wire over their head again. Just keep mixing them up like this. If they wind up blocking you and getting out just play keepaway again until you can score another knockdown.
Also, if they wind up escaping your pressure in any way you have the option of either playing total runaway and meter building, or get in their face but not totally in their face. Drop the magnet right in front of them, limiting what they can do. Then harrass them with pokes like far C or projectiles behind the magnet.
Mariah is bottom tier in JoJo though so good luck winning with her. Her knockdown 50/50 junk doesn’t do much damage, she takes block damage from everything, and her crouch animation is amazingly tall which makes it easy for chars to hop overhead instant kick her or whatever. Primary problem being her lack of damage.
Sorry for the lack of specific “poke” terms but it’s been forever since I played JoJo. But I did play Mariah as a secondary to Rubber Soul.
