Well, I got my wish, Baoh’s DLC. Nice to see people working on combos already. And please, let Lisa Lisa be in the game, as DLC or whatever. I’d be excited to see her moveset. I’m really hype for this game, shame I’m not getting it day 1, but my bro’s going on holiday to Japan, so he might be able to pick it up for me hopefully.
Gonna check out Forgenjuro’s stream later on, thanks a bunch man!
EDIT: Someone put up online matches already lol:
OK, yeah, Made in Heaven slows the opponent down completely, right down to their hitstun and blockstun too, so I’ll assume Pucci’s got potentially very powerful combos during that state only. And it seems to last the whole round, possibly even the whole match? However, unless players can find a way to transform without getting interrupted, I don’t think Made In Heaven’ll be a common occurrence.
It’s not the first time. I was actually coming here to post: anyone concerned about infinites this early shouldn’t be, for both SC4/5 namco had patches within the first month that corrected stuff. I remember Ivy had this hilarious WS B (G) WS B infinite in SC4, haha.
Since we also already know they plan on supporting the game beyond release with DLC, this’ll probably be removed.
Ah, I wasn’t worried, if anything, it got me excited about other combo possibilities. Infinite doesn’t seem to work on crouchers though, check 2:52 of this vid:
EDIT: However, you can force stand with a Puttsun cancel, as shown in the video.
At least Cyberconnect didn’t port their ultimate ninja storm engine and made every character in the game play exactly the same. If they patch out the dumb infinites, this game could be their best one.
So it looks like the move that starts the foundation of the infinite for Joylene (that upwards command normal punch) dosen’t hit a standing Narancia. I kind of figured it wouldn’t work on like, Koichi/Shigechi/Johnny due to thier hitboxes, but that caught me by surprise. Josuke’s upwards Dorarara also misses, which sucks for him because that’s been a cornerstone of all the big combos we’ve seen thus far from him.
it seems really odd that you can’t cancel or super cancel into level 2s. definitely limits their usefulness because it looks like level 1 supers basically avoid damage scaling as well. I don’t think I’ve seen a max damage combo involving a level 2 from any character…
