So, to be clear, when they say Hol Horse 214A costs meter, does that mean the bottle, the assist call or both?

So I been playing again. came in. Gonna mess around and actually try to foreal learn Bruno and Jolyne. I have only seen and read part one. So it wlll be slow, but I will do that story parts after i read them lol. But yeah once I get better and etc, I’m more than willing to play some of you fools online. But I wish they didn’t region lock the online. WTF

Hi there guys, wanted to ask you how is the netplay for this game? Is it any good?

The netcode’s uses input lag, so the quality is pretty dependent on how far you and your opponent are, basically like SFIV’s in a sense. Talking from experience with the original release last year, it was very good/almost offline if I played against someone in the same city/state, good/playable if in the same region (US, EU, etc.), but terrible if I played against anybody all the way in Japan (with me being near the US). I’ve seen a couple cases of people in the US claiming they get playable connection quality between US to EU or even US to Japan, but I guess their particular internet structure is probably good enough to accommodate it.

So far, the EU players have said it’s at least the same quality as the original release, and generally get very good connections with each other. Going to have to wait till the US version’s network issues are sorted out before being able to comment on that, but I’d like to think it would be same experience as the EU.

Just downloaded it off PSN. Time to grind story mode to get Kars which kinda sucks but hey, what’re gonna do, right? How awesome is it that Oldseph is the first DLC dude, though? And only 2$? Literally the best day ever.

Uh… how far back do I have to go for Jonathan strats?
He seems the most Ryu to me. Though I keep seeing that Zeppelli is better.

And uh… I got issues with my damn PS3 and networking. Anyone who knows a lick hit me up via PM so I can actually play people online. The random mess I Google up and use ain’t workin for me and I wanna keel people SO HARD.

All ive done is mess with jonathan in training mode. New daughter not giving me much time to explore. Im in love with the way the game looks tho

after playing for while I gotta say I am enjoying the game. Not sure of some the game complaints are their stuff or ways to deal with them. The only thing that suffer is the frame dropping. Character seem nice and diverse.

Oh man. 2 bars and I can’t puttstun a SD on reaction. Lesson learned. Three bars from this point on, haha.

I’m having trouble with getting jotaro’s 5L/2L after a stand canceled H breath. I try to dash as soon as I can and hit L, but it only works sometimes.

Don’t just dash, you need to run so you can cancel the run into 5L.

Everybody would be able to 100% lol.

Just imagining Joseph or Fugo loops with 5 bars makes me shiver, though I guess there is the infinite prevention.

@nick: if your not doing 40% bnb off of .75 guage thean your combos are’nt optimise (epecially stand characters alone) Don’t forget about rumble mode, the boost you get is pretty strong. Also some characters don’t need damage or meter to rely on as their neutral just too good to shut down. Stylish defense? pfft zepille says nope.

Also reset are pretty damn useful if can pressure for guard crush or mix up to open people up.

so far my character are Zeppile, Pucchi, Ceasar, and possibly Kira. But darn so many character feel nice. Okusa and Bruno are very fun for me as well. Don’t get me started on valentines stuff.

I can appreciate how every character feel the same but play differently and most having well balance tool set. I dare say people should be able to learn fighter for this as its approachable and unlike other fighter, ASB mechanics are pretty straight forward with few character and stage gimmick being the exception.

people saying zoning is weak are slightly right. Especially projectile in 3d fighter. But i think this is where we have to consider stage gimmicks. Majority of stage gimmick complement a character zoning and even some mix ups as well.

But even them zoning primary objective is to dictate your opponents movement which still holds up in ASB.

As for pokes , as long you can cancel your attacks with RC than almost everything attack is poke.

I’m only using Jonathan so far. he seems like a basic ryu type so i wanna learn the game first before i worry about character selection

  • 214A now juggle launches instead of fullscreen wallslam
  • s.off 5H now crumples on first hit

DIO:

  • can’t throw knives when in S.On
  • there a little delay between 214L and SJ making it harder/rare to land his known wall bnb

Hol Horse:

  • 214A now costs ~0.15 meter

Pucci:

  • 22H now costs ~0.15 meter for every activation (that means that you just use ~0.15 meter if you keep H pressed while doing several chants together)
  • Made in Heaven speeds up the timer even more

Valentine:

  • 623A when hard-knocked down now costs 1 bar (it was 2)
  • HHA deals 230 damage now (up from 200)

Johnny:

  • Act3 421A (teleport) can only be held for around 2 seconds now (down from 10)

Diavolo:

  • 421A while beng hit (combo breaker) now costs 2 bars (up from 1.5)
