Old Joseph and The first campaign is up on PSN store! Old Joeseph costs a whopping 2 bucks.

Hol Horse has an assist that stops opposing pressure dead, that same assist plus your gun is used to control where your opponent is allowed to move. Plus anytime it hits, you get full combo in retaliation.
Your level 1 super is fast as shit and punishes bad decisions anywhere on the screen, and can be linked off half screen TK gunshots if you want to be slick.
Unlike Cable however, Hol Horse’s big damage loop is very meter positive, allowing you more assist calls (which has been recently nerfed to cost meter because it was literally too good when it cost nothing, you could call assist from blockstun or hitstun if you had a puddle on the floor), more punisheswith super, and more putsun cancels of your bottle to set up your assist.

am i reading this right? I cant play online vs until i buy all the dlc?

Yeah st.L is the Persona chain. If you want to turbo jab to confirm a hit they need to be crouch jabs.

Also, you have about two hours worth of storymode to play if you want to unlock the whole cast.

i just dont like that chain jab all the way to super crap. but oh well thats me

fun game so far. input window is either huge or really sensitive, im playing this on my MAS (dont have/like jap sticks) and getting wrong inputs alot

WTF is going on with the campaign mode in this?

I downloaded the campaign pack 1 and O.Joesph, installed both (twice at this point for each), it says campaign mode has updated with Kira/Shigechi as bosses, the loading screen has updated with thier portraits, but it still says I haven’t updated to Campaign Pack 1 and therefore cannot play online/campaign, nor is O.Joesph showing up in any modes.

Did EU have any issues like this? The Japanaese release sure as hell didn’t.

i cant even find the campaign pack in the PSN store. it just shows dlc bullshit you gotta pay for

we had no issues with campaign, i downloaded it as soon as it was available and it worked at first try…

Hol Horse:

  • 214A now costs ~0.15 meter

Pucci:

  • 22H now costs ~0.15 meter for every activation (that means that you just use ~0.15 meter if you keep H pressed while doing several chants together)

*Yeah, I’m having the same trouble with playing online/starting up campaign mode. I’ve downloaded it off of the PSN store, TWICE but the game still isn’t sensing it.

The campaign download is free, but you have to go through the psn store to get it. Not through the in-game prompt. You have to back out of the game, go to the psn store and look for JoJo DLC, there you’ll find Old Joseph and the campaign. You can download it from there, but currently it’s not working for me, for one reason or another.

Also to unlock Hol Horse you have to play through the story mode. Play through part 3’s story and you’ll unlock him. *

i starting to dig this game. walkspeeds are ass though

they totes are. just gotta accept that you’re gonna be wavedashing everywhere in this game.

Yeah I was so hardcore on this until I discovered In Night Under Birth After Death Around etc etc etc exe

For some (most?) characters, wavedashing actually travels faster than just going into a run. It’s a lot more noticeable with characters like Avdol and Old Joseph who have fairly slow run speeds. It also tends to make the difference in more advanced combos that need that extra quickness to continue a tight combo, like landing an OTG hit after knocking the opponent a distance away.
