Against, just be careful when getting in. That character is all zoneing/oki, and if you SD the explosions they can be big enough to still hit you after the SD. Projectile explosions are huge and can be difficult to jump over, consider sidestepping instead. His only reversal costs meter (his level 1) and his level 2 heals him/reverses transformations. If you get knocked down, he can place UB’s on you on wakeup that you’ll need to SD immediately, but he can delay the timing to bait that out. That’s the cliff notes, Kawajiri is the gimmick Kira. Stand on J.C is amazing, stand off j.B is amazing, he has good 2C’s but he’s kind of ass when it comes to block strings/high combo damage.

and about the limited retail copies, they talk about it JUST when it’s about US, not even a word about EU, moreover here in italy you can preorder the game almost anywhere (gamestop, other stores), not just namco website or amazon
maybe cause it’s still “asian” stuff? i can’t remember which one but there was a game which you couldn’t download the japan stuff for your western version…
and don’t forget that the JPN game won’t be compatible to play with the EU/US one… so maybe dlcs would be incompatible as well? dunno
So me and a friend are going to be doing a session here in the next couple of days. It will more than likely be his Old Joseph vs my Okuyasu. He maaaay also use Koichi and I might use Lisa Lisa. I’ll probably also be using Yoshikage, but those matches won’t be recorded since I don’t want to release my tech just yet.
You 're also in TX too, right? I’m in the market for a car (hopefully this week or next!), definitely would like to travel to get some matches in once I do. I plan on running offline events when the game drops too here in Austin.
In regards to the remaining IVGC matches, I am going to do commentary on the loser’s finals either tonight or tomorrow. Past few days have been hella busy at my job.
