Ugh, how can people actually like Spetactular Spider-man? I mean, anyone over the age of 14 that is.
I have never been so embarassed to like Spider-man before, but clearly the target audience of this show is little girls. It’s like Spider-Man meets 90210.
I realize Spider-man has always been about Parker’s clumsy relationships, but after watching a couple episodes I could no longer force myself to care whether Peter asked Gwen to prom or not or whether he would get his homework done on time. Not to mention the terrible kiddy-cartoony look and his super-nice besties Harry Osborn and Eddie Brock.
Honestly if you think this show is better than the 90s cartoon, you might need to get your head checked. The 90s cartoon actually took itself seriously. Spectacular Spider-man is what happens when you try to steal Pokemon’s fanbase.
If you want to know how to take a kid’s cartoon and make it GOOD, go watch Teen Titans.
I love how people here would rather argue about a bunch of cartoons then talk about the game.
Spiderman is in the game now. Game play doesn’t matter when I have my spidey sting.
Has Venom been named yet because we need both Spiderman and Venom to make this storyline more real. Can we also add the Sandman?
The Sandman is my favorite villain because he throws sand.
Sandman would be interesting. I think Venom or Carnage would win popular vote though and beat him out. Or even Green Goblin. Osborn has been a major player in the comics the past few years with the Dark Reign event centralized on him. Would be cool to have him in either as Gobbo or Iron Patriot.
So, to put this conversation back on track, how do you think Spider-Man will fare against Iron Man and Ryu and beams in general?
Green Goblin is my favorite for this game but he looks identicle to Super Skrull (apparently ghost rider and dormammu looked too much alike, so what chance do two characters that actually DO look similar have?)
Maybe Hob Goblin or maybe the flying board will be enough to set them apart.
I really think his web zipline will be perfect to get over beam hypers. I can see Spider-man really punishing the crap out of iron man a lot (at least when he doesnt use the angled proton cannon)

But yeah, high hopes for web zip completely changing Spidey’s game for the better. His air mobilty in MVC2 was unforgivable. Of all the characters to lack agility and speed…
Ugh, I know right? That web zip is going to help him dramatically. I think he’ll be able to go toe-to-toe with Iron Man now. (Maybe not, but it’ll be closer then it was before)
Honestly I’d rather see Carnage in the game then Venom. I think Venom would just be too obvious of a choice. Sandman would be super neat too.
Carnage bores the hell out of me though. He just kills things…he doesn’t really have many decent quirks that would fit him in this game. Venom would. Though I’d prefer NO symbiotes in this game thank you.
