Spidey could’ve used a reliable infinite in MVC2, but in 3… not to sure if I want that to be the case. Plus, hearing “Web SHWING!” every two seconds will do my skull in…
Looks like 3 will be less about infinites and resets anyway and the bigger damage options are mostly tied to meter.
Which is why I’m excited for this game :>)
being the huge web head i am, i counted the HOURS till they finally released my favorite friendly neighborhood wall crawler.
it appears (at least to me, i’m probably wrong, tho) that Spidey has a counter super like wesker’s. i may just be confused tho, lol.
hopefully some web-ball shenanigans in store, i’m picturing teaming him up with deadpool (ala the recent DP arc in the comics), i think they might complement well.
or just a Iron Man, Spidey, Cap/Wolverine New Avengers team! :rock:

Gotta wonder what effect AG has on it. I suspect with enough testing and complaints the distance it pushes will get toned down though, for I do think it pushes much too far right now.
Oh my God, the zip web does hit. I didn’t think it did at first, that makes it seem much more useful than I originally thought. I guess I just assumed it worked like Amaterasu’s air dash.
So, does anyone know if the zip web is a special move (maybe done with the Drill Claw command) or is it just done like any other 8-way dash?
His Run+Stop+Fierce one? I’m kind of hoping for Capcom to implement a “hitstun scaling” system of some sort into the game. I’d hate to see the game turn into (and this is entirely speculation) a bunch of infinites of any sort. I liked the Mega Crash system in TvC for escaping things, but meter seems to be more important in this then it did in TvC.
There is hitstun scaling. A lot of people fear the opposite with the scaling, that high hit combos that end in supers will cause characters to fall out of the super.

Same here. His taunts were awesome. The only taunt I liked better was Cap when he shouted “Freedom prevails!”
And it will. That’s the way it was in TvC. You’ll just have to find combos that don’t let them drop out, with hypers that come out fast enough. Unless you mean MID hyper…then that usually didn’t happen.
As with infinites…well that was how infinites were prevented.
It would’ve been awesome if they incorporated Spidey’s Eight-Legged Assault from Shattered Dimensions. That thing is godlike.
Man, it looks like Spidey’s letting out a real stinker in this screenshot. Ryu has to pull a dynamic entry just to stop him. IMO, Peter should avoid the chilli beans next time.

Ya know, I always admired Peter’s ability to kick you in the teeth while sitting down. Glad he still has all his cool normals. All I need now is for him to have his god like “Do yer jawb!” taunt and I’m in heaven.
