Seriously, that girl is jacked.
Love this damn show though.

Love this damn show though.
I think it came down for a brief moment during the most recent episode when situation, pauly and ronnie were watching the girls fight with angelina or something… Ronnie says something like, “I love watching drama when it’s not about me” and gives a kind of knowing look at the camera. For a split second he was outside the show, watching it like a viewer.
I wonder how scripted it is too. On the one hand… its a reality show… that alone means its not real. On the other hand, some of this shit is just TOO GOOD to be written. Like, too bizarre to be scripted. So unbelievable that it HAS to be true because nobody is creative enough to make it up.
Not sure if this has been posted:

What a bunch of clowns…
Ahh I don’t think it is scripted at all. They act too natural to me and seems to say what they want to say.
Then again I could be fooled.
To an extent it’s scripted, it has to be but Ronnie KO’ing some guy on a boardwalk is about as real as it gets. MTV crew probably finds the girls beforehand that hang on to these dudes at clubs. It’s a natural reaction for people to look every once in a while at the camera yet the randoms they find to interact with the cast don’t? They probably even do retakes but the fights look very real as well as their emotional states. If it’s entirely scripted these would be some high level actors and they are obviously not that.
Some guy that visited our college class did a documentary and was saying that MTV basically sets things up and kind of makes thing happen. Say people were arguing earlier, they would say things to get the person more fired up. At the same time, I think with the Jersey Shore cast, you don’t need to do much to make something happen. Also good editing helps.
sly uses HGH, ive never heard of him using roids.
Yeah, I was also thinking about that guy rocking Snookie’s head back in that bar.
That’s real.
It seems like MTV gives the Jersey Shore cast a lot of creative liberty. It seems some of the best moments in the show aren’t scripted. EG; Ronnie knocking that guy out and putting him in the rape position, Jwoww with the Guile fierce backhand to the Situation’s face, Snookie getting punched, etc…
not really sure what about the jersey shore strikes you as scripted. i’d agree that the cast is self-aware of themselves, but outside of their planned vacation and likely MTV subsidized bar tabs they look like they’re doing themselves.
I’m not talking about the partying, so much as the other stuff they do when they are just being regular people doing regular things.
Mostly when those guys hit the clubs, you would think someone in the club would acknowledge being on TV. You would think random club goers would know who the cast is(Come on who doesn’t know the Situation). Or in Episode 1, when Jwoww and Snooks stopped in that random bar in Mississippi when no one is in there, and they have the random guy in there hitting on them. The guy that was hitting on them doesn’t look or really even acknowledge that the girls are being followed by cameras. Stuff like that. Maybe MTV edits all of those reaction’s out, so that the 4th wall won’t be broken.
I’m interested in those aspects of the show mainly because the cast is fairly famous now. I’m surprised that they don’t have random people walking up to them and stuff like that, etc, etc…
my post was more in response to the guy at the top of the page and on the last page. MTV could definitely “make” more things happen, realistically most of the show isn’t really action packed, but yeah it is interesting that the camera crews are able to be there without cats all up on them.
and the main thing i’ve heard about MTV affecting the casts for their shows is that they more or less give them a fridge full of nothing but alcohol.
So the same thing dana does with tuf?
lol yeah, i guess.
i wouldn’t be suprised if they stacked the clubs too. Like we have this show in toronto called Keys to the VIP. It’s like a game show where two guys go into the club and the hosts give them different challenges to pick up chicks, then judge the winner at the end. I know a girl that was on the show, basically they gave her 150 bucks and free drinks all night and showed her pictures of the two guys. They didn’t tell her how to act, but she knew she was on tv and on the look out for those guys. She gave one of them her number, but said she never ended up on the show.
Regarding all of the people around knowing what the deal is - like in the clubs and all of that - they obviously know. If their face is shown, they had to sign all this paperwork before they could even go inside. They know full well what they’re doing and what they’re getting into which is why they aren’t going all up on the nuts of the cast. And of course editing.
I don’t know how it is now, but in college I ended up at some party that MTV threw for that “Fraternity Life” show and we all had to sign paperwork and all this shit. It was just a chill, regular party.
Jersey Shore doesn’t need to be scripted. They cast a bunch of chaotic personalities that will argue over the slightest things, shove them in a house with no TV, radio, one phone and a fridge full of alcohol and the crazy shit happens automatically. Production also has a way of adding fuel to the fire during the diary sessions, they only show the cast member talking on the show but they are being interviewed by someone and that person will say things like “When so-and-so did this, how pissed off did it make you feel and what do you plan on doing about it?”.
man how can anybody say this is scripted? you can’t make up what ronnie and sammi have together. that shit is fucking beautiful, man. they are our modern day joanie and chachi except his is 100% real and raw and if you cant see that then i pity the darkness that is in your heart and you can eat a dick. i mean are you serious? he got a tattoo for her, bro. can’t make that shit up.
The show is not 100% scripted and I don’t think anyone thinks so.
BUT the crew does ask questions and pump the people up.
They do the same thing on the real world.
lol i think they stopped doing that in around RR:hawaii when they started allowing the casts to just waltz into the booth whenever they wanted. we need that don knotts nigga to report and give us the goods since he was on road rules and shit.
Is there like a collection of faces that the Situation makes?
