Well, when it comes to small individual portions like tacos, nuggets, or dim sum, there’s an easier way to MM. Two people can just sit down, start ordering, eat away, and when the person who has eaten less cries uncle, that person has to pay the bill, AND whatever agreed upon amount. It’s what made me that man I am today.
And no, there is no win/win situation when it comes to eating contests. Even if you win, you really lose. Pride is the only thing gained/bolstered. Any money earned goes towards paying your future medical bills.

I was going to be in Federal Way all week, but now I am randomly going to be in Seattle at 8 o’clock tonight, so I’ll be heading over to get a few games in. I feel crazy that even after a weekend of straight games I am still jones’n to play more than ever. :lovin:
Girlfriend is coming with me, so I am going to make her play a few games to. 
ok update, talked to Jason, he has to delay it a little bit so it will be more like 9pm. Just posting this early b/c it’s actually hard for me to get home at 8 (traffic is really bad), and much easier for me to get home at 9. So let’s say 9pm.

Anyway, great games to everyone tonight. Jason Cole is monstrous. I didn’t even get to play against his Dhalsim but it was definitely dope to watch. Tonight showed me that Chun Li is like the ONLY character I can play in ST lol. Damn. At least right now anyway. Here’s looking forward to more ST.
It was great testing out Gief vs Sim for real. I learned a few things, especially after watching Cole and Nate fight. I think the most important thing is to not play Gief. Success!

We had a series of random pairing Mikado tournaments tonight at Beasley’s. The winner of each touranment happen to go undefeated, so no tie breakers were necessary. In the first game, Cole chose to play “M. Bison”. When I asked him which one, he said, “M. Bison, ARGH!! motions with swinging fists This ain’t Japan! The Boxer, duh!” Then, when he went up to play, he took Dictator. . . .

Finally, we ran a round robin tournament where the winner had to win with 2 different characters to take a 3 game set. For those unfamiliar (this was my first experience with the format), players blind pick from the get go. Whoever wins game 1 must then pick any character other than the one he just won with. Whoever lost can then counter-pick. If the winner from game 1 wins again, he takes the match. If the games are tied, the new winner must now pick someone other than what he just won with, and the loser may counter-pick with anyone OTHER THAN the character that he won with in game 1. This might seem confusing when laid out in text, but it’s not that funky. The format was Jason Cole’s idea.

Also, we all watched as someone double perfected Axel’s Ryu on GGPO. PWNED.
The people who left before Cole got there (or didn’t show) missed out. It seemed like Nate, Mandel, and myself were all just superfluous fill-ins. Watching Cole and Beasley play made me realize how far behind the rest of us really are.

Sorry I couldn’t stay guys. I was only in Seattle to pick up something with my girlfriend, so it wasn’t going to be an all night thing.
