Yeah, I built them, pretty easy, though I haven’t dowel pinned them (yet…kinda a PITA, might not get around to it). I got a new Ryobi air strike hybrid nail gun, made everything MUCH easier! It is glued, and I have plans for the paint, should look good when I’m done, I’ll post pics in a separate thread either way, for posterity sake. I made two, one for each panel that I bought, took me about 3 hours or so to do everything to this point. Total material cost ~$25 so far, probably closer to $35 when painted, add the neutriks~$15, figure about $50 for the completed enclosure. Not bad.
If you’re feeling generous I would happily pay you to make me one. Unfinished is fine. I just don’t have access to saws, etc.
Actually, that’s $50 for two enclosures.
They look great Chan… I’m pretty excited to show everyone what I worked up for these panels. I hope that after I launch these two product this weekend (Morpheus and Naomi Netboot Kits) I will have some free time to QA the work and bring it home
Didn’t mean to hijack, I’ll PM iNENDOi. Your Naomi stuff is exciting, I can’t wait.
Not at all! Keep discussing!!! I encourage it. I love to see the stuff I do married up with stuff YOU do. (that’s the royal YOU, btw).
I hope my solution is just as elegant as yours… actually, I hope its better
I trust that you will be able to help me out with Move List art, Jasen
Jasen,
Do you have a diagram or spec for the Saulabi layout? I am thinking of getting a custom build with this layout.
Also do you have the spec for the Crown stick mounting plates? I want a to directly mount the K-stick base to the case to maximize the height of the joystick.
@therobin - I don’t. Now I regret not buying one while I was in Seoul a couple months ago! It looks like a Hori layout to be honest. Maybe @laugh could share some dimensions with the group?
The Crowin mounting plates, I do have the Spec. Did you see that I am releasing a Limited Edition Panzer Fight Stick: Korean Edition? Its not a Salubi layout, its a Vewlix layout with the Myoungshin Fanta stick.
I saw it. But 30mm buttons no longer interest me. Even though I learned arcade sticks with them, I developed preference for 28mm spacing. It more comfortable to me. Particularly I found the saulabi layout was rather comfortable to use.
As for the stick, as long as you can drill the mount straight to the top of the case, that would be nice. I like having the stick higher as it provides the ability to access extra throw and more torque by using the tip when I need it.
@therobin - I use studs pressed into the top portion of the case so that you simply slide the stick on and use nuts/washers to hold it down. Can’t get any taller without using thinner material!
Jasen, I am talking about the Japanese mounted versions. Do you have spec for those mounting holes?
Laugh sent me this link: http://jerome.mathevet.free.fr/shoryuken/Saulabi-SPS1000.pdf
It is not from or verified by etokki, but he says it looks good enough to him.
@ therobin - The Japanese mounted Crown can fit the standard Panzer with JLF mounts. I have one sitting on my bench now. All of the studs on all of my cases are the same way, so the plate can fit snug against the metal of the case or be spaced down. Your choice.

As a side note, completely unrelated: CROSSBONE launches Saturday! I have 3 different packages I am offering on launch day with Monday Morning Shipping (Saturday morning shipping if orders are placed before noon).
So while I kinda dislike discount begging I’m still going to ask if there’s a chance for a deal for those of us who had previously purchased an OEM Xbone pad from you. Thanks.
@Nobus - Paradise Arcade Shop have worked together brining a few options of the Crossbone to market for everyone. @Phreakazoid has set the Retail Price of the CROSSBONE at $29.95. Not much we can do for the base version. As I mentioned above, we have a few options that will be available with the Crossbone, so I think you will like one and find that the price point make sense.
Midnights: The floodgates open ushering in a new wave of Next Gen Fighting. Three Versions, you choose your battle. Special launch day pricing on XBONE Pads… hesitate and miss it.
I really like what you guys are doing with the Crossbone.
In case you guys haven’t been to the store to check it out yet:
CROSSBONE STAGES Explained - Get what you want and how you want it.
STAGE 1: The CROSSBONE as designed and sold by PhreakMods. No frills. This requires the most soldering as the CROSSBONE is rather bare with no quick connectors for the external SYS2 connection, no terminals for the buttons/lever to be connected, etc. Those with soldering skills and parts on hand will want this stage. Micro USB Cable to USB is included.
STAGE 2: STAGE 1 plus the parts to populate the CROSSBONE yourself. Save on shipping from multiple vendors and everything arrives ready to solder up. STAGE 2 includes the 20P header for the CROSSBONE, the 4PIN Header for the SYS2 connection, 2x 10PIN Terminal Blocks, 1x 2PIN Terminal Block, and two runs of wire for SWITCH and LT/3K IN connections. Micro USB Cable to USB is included.
STAGE 3: STAGE 2 and completely soldered together. This is the least amount of soldering required for a CROSSBONE XBOX ONE setup. CROSSBONE is completely assembled and ready to attach to a pad. Once attached the three wires can be connected from the XBOX ONE Pad and you are ready to connect buttons and play. This also comes with the 20P Ribbon Cable and USB Cable to connect to a PS360+ outfitted with a 20P header. Micro USB Cable to USB is included.
STAGE 4 (Limited Run): STAGE 3 Kit and a PS360+ with 20PIN Header and 4PIN USB header already connected. Micro USB Cable to USB is included.
