i just got to japan a week ago, and i’m staying at corporate housing in roppongi. i’m pretty down to party so just lemme know whenever something is going down. probably can’t join the pussy hunt though unfortunately

Keith…when I stayed in Shibuya, the only club I checked out (the one every local told me to go to) was "Harlem."
It was fairly American and they spun the typical top-40 rap/r&b…which I personally don’t bump, but you and your girl could get your boogie on there absolutely. It was packed when I went.

harlem is just down the block from club asia/vuenos in the love hotel hill area. club atom is right next to that too if ur down for some para-para action, haha. hiphop in tokyo pretty similar to the states minus the grinding. you’ll almost never goto a regular mainstream hiphop night and see bboys. in fact, a lot of the clubs will break up the battles and close the circles… then buy u a shot afterwards as an apology, haha. if u want real underground hiphop then u hafta keep an eye out for dance events and contests cuz thats a whole different scene.

at this point i know pretty much NOTHING about tokyo’s night-life, so i’m just imagining how shit might be. all i’ve done in terms of shit like that was hit up gas panic bar once in roppongi while i was on vacation. music would get randomly shitty there, and this one girl i got to dance was hella fixated on this surfing thing they had playing on tv. shot glasses there were like the size of thimbles too.
next time i go to any bar/club here in japan i’m just gonna get tanked before i leave the apartment…

Met some girls at First Bar in Roppongi last Saturday. I would recommend that place. Nice atmosphere +free entry. Drink prices own you though.
dude, when ever i got to any bar/club, i just go there for the atmosphere, not the drinks. for the drinks, i just buy a bottle of JD(1/5) 1350Yen at the alcohal discount store, drink it, then enter the free-entry club/ bar. that is what i learned from throwing hella money away for the shitty prices, and my girlfirneds half shot coctails…

that one time i went to gas panic was cuz it was the only place open. my friend took me to out look for clubs on like a weds night or something. it wasn’t hella good or nothing, but i mean shit it was better than nothing. the trains were all done for the night too, so it was pretty much a god-send at that point.

ok, i will be at kaikan this weekend (again) on saturay and sunday. i am just gonna stay on 3s in b1. i will be the only white guy in that section like i always am.
so i spent like three something hours today walking all around shinjuku and yeah… i couldn’t really find shit there worth doing that i haven’t seen in other places. i told bas i would try to make the 2on2 at sport’s land, but i didn’t even run into the place the entire time i was walking around. what’s the main reason people go to shinjuku for anyway? i remember hitting up MORE a few times back when it was still somewhat the cvs haven, but i mean that was when i still hella played the game.
i explored akihabara last weekend, and it’s pretty much known to be the electronics central in japan so i got what i expected. the weekend before that i walked around shibuya for a while, and it seems like a poppin/trendy place for people to kick it. is there a night life in shinjuku? i can see myself goin back to shibuya or akihabara for whatever, but i dunno i think i’m gonna have to explore shinjuku some more before i find anything there. place seemed big as fuck too.
question: how late do people normally kick it at clubs generally? i’m talking about people who are out to club, but that’s it. not talking about people hooking up and crashing at some random sex hotel. i’m curious cuz for the most part i’m gonna wanna go home after clubbing, but don’t the trains stop around 12 or something on weekends? i mean shit unless people here start clubbing at 9pm, i don’t see how people are gonna be done in time to go home. i’ve stayed out the whole night in tokyo before, but shit i’m not gonna wanna do that everytime i go partying… so yeah, how does that shit work? do people just start and end earlier here, or do they all just stay out the whole night? this was never an issue back in the US when i had a car, but yeah…
