I took a friend in town from san jose over to AI, family arcade, and finally to japan arcade during his stay this past weekend. His favorite was Japan arcade because he could actually hang with the competition
But that stick is dumpy, the machine WILL eat your second token if you put it in too fast, and there are too many, well, initial D and para-para otaku than I can usually tolerate. Crowds, machine and competition aside, it’s a great local and there’s so much good food and beer in the area. Namely daiko and far bar
i stopped by tonite. it definately has not changed. the left stick is pretty jacked and the right one is not far behind. it was dead. there were like 3 people in the entire place.
which machine are you talking about?
The owner was there the whole day today, and he told me he checked on all the fighting games. How come you didn’t tell him about it? Don’t worry, he doesn’t bite and he sure won’t yell at you hahaha
I have to apologize to dolfan305. I shouldn’t bag on you for claiming the machine was shitty.
Bear in mind, I never decided to travel over to Denjin or AI to play SF4 since I live in Koreatown which is somewhat far from both arcades.
However, over the last 4 days, I went to AI twice out of those 4 days and their quality of sticks blew my mind, along with the competition over there.
It’s a real shame that I live in a city with a shitload of people yet there are no decent arcades.
But yea, anyways for people in LA area. Don’t go to Family Arcade (75 cents a game, and I feel like I’m playing on a stick that can break at any second. Really effing soft and it’s bat top.)
Japan Arcade is “ok” but its still 50 cents a game… shrug
