James&James So Cal Modding

@ Kuya_Joe check pm’s sir

Jamespoop, peep your PMs. Merry Xmas all!

I have an arcade stick that is modded with a TEasy Strike, but it raises the metal panel on my TE, in so my full plexi doesnt stay flush. How much would it be to have you guys look at it and possibly dual mod it in order to fix this issue?

To fix your issue with the Control Panel, we will remove the TEasy Strike.
Then we will install a real Dual Mod in your TE.
Not some solderless stuff.

TEasy Strike and other Strike Devices have problems.

The cost for Dual Mod is $100

Hi Guys,

I was referred to you by a a few members of Fighting Gamers @ UCI whom I session with regularly. I have Qanba Q4 and was replacing the buttons, and I think i messed up the wiring because they were really difficult to pry off. I’ve had to improvise some wiring for a couple of buttons, but now 3 of my buttons won’t work.

How much would it be for you to take a look and cleanup the wiring so that my stick is working again?

Live in Irvine; I’m not sure which of you are local.

Thanks.

The wires connecting the PCB to the joystick on my HRAP EX-SE broke off. I still have the piece that goes to it. How much would it be to have you guys look at it and fix it?

I do not know when the next session is.
But I will be at the next one.

I am going to meet with Andre.
I can meet with you then too.
And check out the Qanba.

Or if you want, I can meet you before the next session.

Yes, I can fix that for $25.
Are you in Orange County, CA?

I do know that you asked if a Sanwa JLF-H can be used.
You asked in Tech Talk, and I replied back.

I’m from the IE and was wondering if i could get some help…I have a stock ps3 mvc TE stick and two of my buttons are unresponsive and almost going out…how much to get some new buttons swapped in…i’m not the type to do this myself so any help would be appreciated.

Can you do a dual mod for a hrap3? My pcb seems to be dead/dying. Also, im not too sure if it has to do with the usb cord but the cord feels rather “old” and the screws on the top panel look rather corroded. Would it be possible to get a new usb cord and new screws along with the dual mod? (Or would it be something I need to do myself).

I can also attend the next fighting gamers session @ UCI most likely.

I am located in Temple City, CA

i don’t think the next session will be held until after the new year, closer to when school starts…so i would like to meet before that. please let me know when/where is most convenient for you and i can bring my qanba. thanks!

Are you willing to ship to me?
I have some Buttons I can install for you.

Cool, I can Dual Mod your HRAP 3.

If fixing the USB is not problem, then I have to replace the HORI PCB.
So that would raise the cost a little more.

I do not have the screws.
But I can tell you where to get.

Oh, that is far.
You’ll have to ship to me.

Yes, the next session is in January.
I just do not know when in.

It is either second or third week.
No official date yet.

We can meet at South Coast Plaza tomorrow.

Sent an email to you guys a few days ago and never got a reply back. Was quoted $20 to re solder a wire and wanted to know if it was possible to schedule a pickup. If you guys visit Super Arcade that would be the best place to meet for me, if not where are you guys located and maybe we can work out a location.

is shipping the only way because i live literally 10 mins from orange county and i dont mind droppin it off so u can handle ur business and make sure everythings in working order.

I’m longer than ten minutes, once you get to OC from IE.
I live in Westminster, Orange County; Area Code 714.
Can you drive there?

I’m back and finally sober enough to mod! P_m0n3$-Y I have your stick sending you a PM… working on 3 mods atm good start for the year…

Hey guys, I know im probably going to be kicked out of your shop here for asking but what glue do you use when doing that super godlike wiring? I am getting tempted to try it.

its superglue with a little bit of patience and a lot of beer!

Thanks man, im almost scared to try it. I think if I used super glue and lots of beer at the same time it would end in disaster with my fingers glued to the pcb and wiring.

Or…you could get lucky and glue your hand to the beer!
