Yea, my IM is old and played out, but I think I could still hang with these new blood IM players. I don’t use him at all anymore, but I wouldn’t mind playing Illan’s CRAZY SICK IM. Heck, I’d use low tier against Illan’s IM for money.

seriously, I would say that illan and julius are both good too. But I see both of their iron men getting lamed out all day (less so with illan), thats not good. IM, if you want him to be the best, should be scarier the longer the match goes on, as he truly only needs one hit to kill you and you are going to have to try to hit or chip him, so theoretically in this attempt at some you will simply have to leave yourself open. At this point the top IM shold get you…IMO IM’s real problem is just getting rushed down, as none of his good teams are going to have a good anti air, unless you use that team that none of the iron man players like to use for some reason except J360. In my experience, IM loses in tourney cuz he just got hit and died. Not to mention the teams that have iron man on them are usually otherwise equipped to get people running away.
As for the character though, toi’s ironman is the one that’s most legitmately a dangerous character to me. I give props to illan and j360 and julius and mitsu too, but toi gets my vote for sure.

I think IM loses in tourneys because all the top teams except MSP (Santhrax/Scrub/Scrubclops/SSC/StormSentCyc/MSS etc) have sent and IM straight up loses that match against a good Sent.

Um. So, if it’s a made-up bet and people aren’t emotionally/financially invested, I don’t know if it’s really going to be that great of a match. I don’t know if Row really cares about Sanford. Without personal money being on the line, it’s too easy to be sandbag-city. If you’ve ever watched Row as often as I have, you’ll quickly learn that it’s kind of hard to get him to realllllly care. He’s just kind of incredibly good enough that he’ll beat you anyways while still goofing off.

So I kinda think that part of this thread is dumb. Peeps in Seattle have other ways to feel good about themselves and their life. It’s not the end of their world if they lose at Marvel, it’s not the end of their world if people don’t think they’re better than ShadyK or Clock. It’s called Not Being a Life-Scrub, and that’s where Seattle wins. :tup:

I really don’t think this is that interesting of a bet. I don’t know why Row would care. If he’s still alive in the tournament at that point, it’s entirely possible that he might trade matches for a bit and then just sandbag the last set of matches.

Heh I feel you on the part about Row playing serious because I too feel he is that good he can sandbag whenever he wants. But I don’t see how this thread is dumb or about Seattle players taking this game seriously or not. I think you are making it more than it is. If they play oh good because people want to see it. If they don’t oh well on to the next big match.
