I have started a Ps3 Demo Discussion Thread and want to get everyones opinion on there experience 2morrow. I think capcom would appreciate if someone does this so that they can fix the issues (IF THEY HAVE ANY) asap before summer.

PSN updates around 7pm central time every Thursday. So I wouldn’t count on it releasing anytime soon.

Just played it yesterday. So no, it’s not even close. It’s decent, better than most fgs, but that’s not saying a lot.

If you’re going to take lagneto and “ranked matches” serious, then you’re really not as cool as you may think you are.

I don’t remember if it was between the arcade versions or the DC versions, but I do remember hearing that there was a difference between the Japanese and English versions of these two systems, the specific system I don’t remember. But, say it does make a difference, does anyone know how big?

DC version, regional differences?

Other than names, and the Guile Sonic Blade glitch, I don’t recall any differences.

Well, the engine’s already there. It’s gotta be easier than hand-drawing sprites. Plus I like the way TvC looks.

Yeah, but the wishlists I see almost always include Zero, notsomuch Roll.

I really like Shuma too, even going all the way back to MSH and his P->K combos.

It’s just… who the hell is this? I remember first doing an Internet search waaay back when for the answer and found that he was one of the most obscure characters in the Marvel universe. In a game that included Spiderman, Captain America, and Hulk, why include such an unknown character?

I’d prefer 3v3. The cool thing about MvC2 is that even when characters were crap point characters, they could still be very effective if they had good assists (like Tron or CapCom). The other thing is the strategy involved in looking after two assists and trying to salvage your game in case one died.

But I haven’t played TvC so I don’t know much about its one character-multiple assist system or if those assists were better balanced. So I can only speak on what I’m used to.

shit’s getting funny on gamefaqs. lulz.

well damn, looks like I don’t need to relearn Mags Rom. I’m still getting it. I just hope the delay isn’t bad if I only play east coast.:wasted:

i think he is referring to hdr, alucard.

We’re both referring to HDR netcode. Which is what MVC2 will be using.

Cuz if there’s one thing japanese people know, it’s tentacle rape.

yeah, but there havent been any details to my knowledge about any differences the company has done to possibly make it better. considering theyre not ignorant to what is wrong, and what is right

The biggest difference was that the Japanese version of MvC2 for the DC had online play.

I just love the way hand-drawn sprites look and interact in a fighting game compared to 3-D models for the most part. I do play 3-D fighting games and have played them since Virtua Fighter in arcades, they are not my favourite though.

HDR allows you to change your delay settings from 0-3. If you set it to 0 and play only people in the US, you won’t feel any delay. In fact playiing against someone with 0 delay from anywhere from east coast to mid USA is better than GGPO (don’t have to deal with emulator issues, such as frame skipping etc.). I expect mvc2 to be the same way if not better. So yes, it is really close to ggpo quality, just make sure you don’t play the random guy from bolivia.

your argument on there is really stupid

I’ve never been serious on gamefaqs. it wasn’t even an argument.

I tend to play this game too much like its previous 3 predecessors. So I don’t fare too good when I play someone who actually knows the basic set ups.

But I’m real excited about this launch. Another game I can use my stick w/…

OH?FUCK YES!:lovin:

Thanks for telling me, now I don’t have to worry about delay! Now back to training mode!
