**But much more important than any graphic enhancement is the addition of online multiplayer. Like most of Capcom’s fighting games, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 makes most sense with human competition and, provided the existing fan base for the game makes the HD jump, there should be no lack of live players to challenge. Online options are minimal, as the game offers just ranked and friendly matches with lobbies of up to six players. In our experience, the online play ranged from nearly flawless to jumpy yet fully playable, even with the optional input delay set to max. Hopefully the quality holds up under the duress of public hammering. But one mildly serious issue exists even in our controlled environment: During the versus loading screen, players cannot secretly swap character order by holding down the assist buttons, a feature that’s in the arcade and Dreamcast originals and is even available in the offline modes of this HD update. (It’s possible that this limitation is purposely imposed to enforce a tournament rule I’m not aware of.) **
taken from IGN.com , this is their review about the online play.
I expect it to be on par with HDR netcode. Now the questions is, is that good enough for marvel???
Well that will fix the confusion why there will be a hundred SMP’s on tonight.
(Storm/Magneto/Psylocke)
I’ll be playing online for sure. If anyone wants to add me my gamer tag is umazaki naruto . lol

Wasn’t this a glitch though?
agreed
thats what we are hoping on…
not true!! color edit mvc2 will still be played when not on live =]
switch trick gone… patch patch patch… >=[
oh well… everyone ready? in less than 12 hrs… its gunna be rage quitters crashin the xbox live network
oh shit get hyped. add me for mvc2 matches 2morrow. let the ragequitting begin.
it is, but only the game breaking glitches got nerfed. Gambits snap glitch along with ruby hearts have nerfed. Don’t know the logic behind no switch glitching though.
Timed hits can beat rade with a switch glitch anyway.
Don’t you have to switch the characters out during the loading screen to do the instant hit at the beginning of a match? (ie hold down lk with magneto and it will come out as soon as it says fight for an easy first hit)
does anyone know how many MS points this is going to sell for? o_O
im ready to face scrubs with cable and face him like in every match

That (no character order switching) is actually a Feature of the Japan Dreamcast online play. Too bad they don’t know Marvel.

FWIW, you can add XBLA points (money) to your account now to get ready:
Somebody should post up the online buy-then-have-it-download-to-your-xbox-magically-when-you-sign-on xbox.com link for MvC2 when that shows up. That also speeds things up.
