I agree with you alot of your statement, except for one thing. When it comes to improving your health, there are many ways to improve your health. You don’t necessarily have to compete to do so. Take martial arts and swimming, for example. In general, both are skills you can learn to improve yourself (physically and mentally), but they’re not games. Martial arts tournaments and swimming races are games, but no one is obligated to compete in them (but it won’t hurt as long as you maintain your sense of morality in the process).
Football, on the other hand, is primarily a game. No matter what you learn and play the game for, it will not change the fact that it’s a game (I am by no means stating that it’s a bad game). To be more specific, it’s one of those mano-a-mano type games but with groups of people. So of course there will be competition. But anyway, I’m just writing to say that playing games like football and basketball are a way to improve your health (does that better than most video games), but it’s not the only way.
Both are ridiculously childish. I’m a firm believer that if you talk shit and you end up swallowing a tooth, it’s quid pro quo. I don’t think that it should always end in nerd tears, but don’t start bitching if you try to get on someone’s nerves and that that someone decides your mouth is better left dangling slightly to the left.

The funny thing is that the scenario you’re trying to paint here never happens. When a nigga gets shut down, it’s through the game. People willing to fight over a game cause they got called trash? Just back your shit up and beat the dude in the game. Plain and simple.
Trash talk = hype and there’s no stopping that. If we all golf clapped at every tourney, it’d be pretty boring.
Even in golf, people do more than golf clap. You justify what you do how you want, we’ll never meet and I doubt we’ll even ever play against each other so it makes no difference in the end.

Well, it IS just a game. If you take words to heart, then it’s pretty obvious that you have some serious mental issues.
To me, trash-talking is fine. I prefer it, because then it makes it more energetic and more competitive IMO. But it can be taken too far, so there is that thin line that you need to be aware of. Some people take it really seriously, so I don’t do that much trash talking online unless I can either back it up, or if they’re a close friend.
