2002: Korea Team(?) (Kim and Choi are the highlights)
2003: Ash Team(?) (Ash and Duolon are the highlights)
My KOF memory is lacking but these teams come to mind. Basically I start from the top tier and then evaluate their teammates to see how good their team overall is.
95 probably was ioris team eiji and iori were godly billy was ok
Worst? korea
96 was a tough one it was either ikari warriors or ioris team i’d probably give ikari the edge, clark was broken as fuck up there with iori, i’d probably just give mature over ralf not by much though, leona was miles better than vice.
worst team? that’s pretty hard also off the top of my head the art of fighting team, yuri and robert were pretty poor ryo was good, possibly fatal fury team or korea, it’s pretty tight
97 team japan

2003: Women’s or Ikari? It’s hard to rate as a team because like with for example: K’s team, K’ is awesome but Maxima and Whip are cat-piss tier.

96 i was thinking about the womans team when i wrote previously king was really bad, but then i remembered mai and kasumi were pretty good, kasumi was pretty retarded great in the air great damage, stupid normals he far c was as good as ralfs and because the stun count does not reset you’re guranteed a daze and mai is just mai, i think in 96 most teams have 2 stupid characters or just 2 decent ones, that’s why i said aof team robert sucked and so did yuri, i can see why you say fatal fury, terry was pretty bad but joe and andy were OK!!

99 definently not fatal fury, mai was pretty good as was terry and andy, yeah joe was pants i think he was the only poor link in that team from what i remember.
I’ve definently got to go for aof again, not even takuma can save them from being complete shit

What? 99’ Robert was the shit. His d,u+A/C was boss. Takuma was just solid. I think those two were way better than anybody from FF and Yuri was a really good Striker.
I’d probably say Orochi Team. O Chris is good, but O Shermie and O Yashiro are lower than other teams that have one good character and two not so good characters.

kof2003: heros team. duo lon is in a tier of his own. and ash is better than most characters.
kofxi: K’ team. kula is better than everyone not named gato. K’ and Maxima are A ranked characters.

kof 95 is the shit, best old school fighter ever. every team is viable. even team kim and they are way worse than any other team in the game. also i doubt turkey is the only place they still play this game. its like st, but way better. if you like old school, this is the shit.
kof 94 sucked ass even during its release. what shit game, i still got it though. but even when it was new hardly played it, unlike 95 which we played competetivelly for 2 years straight.
kof 96 is shit tier game. bought it, played it for a week. returned it. got back to playing 95 till kof 97 came along. with such awesome music and bg’s, it almost rbought a tear to my eye how bad the gameplay was. damn, biggest miss game for kof imo.
kof 97, THE kof game that started it all. all newer kof games play like this one, this is the one that introduced us to the kof we now know and love. everybody in the game is soo damn overpowered. team kyo are monsters, real monsters. goro was a beast, beni was even beastlier, but kyo was beast on a whole nother level. ff was soso, terry kicked ass all by himself. while andy sucked ass and joe did pretty much the same thing. they had soo many good options, but the lack of a good aa fucked it up for them imo. couldnt terry have given a few autoguard frames of his taco to his mates? hes got more than enough of those in 97. aof team kicked ass, yuri was strong, ryo was a real killer, but robert, oh robert. he was a 1 man team. kim team kicked ass, psyco team kicked ass. woman fighters team kicked ass. ikari team was pretty decent, especially clark. nft team sucked ASS. while the outlaw team KICKED ASS, cept billy, cause he sucked. rest of the secret characters are not tourney legal imo, only the orochi new face team. and they where decent at best, with chis being a lil more than just decent.
kof98 is a kof nobody needs to know or hear of, if you dont know this kof you dont know any. its basically 97, with infinites removed and extra characters added. and those select few characters from 97 whos dp had no priority whatsoever got it back in 98 (joe, andy).
99 sucked ass, didnt return it but i didnt like it either. k i strong, andy was the bomb, robert kicked ass, mai started sucking in this game, before she was a true main.
dont care for any kof after 98 actually, even 02 can fuck off for all i care. especially now that 13 is coming.
i hated 95, everyone using Rugal, j.D, st. C, Genocide… KO
