Goku is a saiyan, so he’s already gonna be strong as hell to begin with, but Tien worked his ass off to get that strong. Tien strongest in world no doubt!!!
Do you think Gohan has great fighting skill? In the DBZ manga Goku believes Vegeta to be a genius(Cell saga/time chamber) saying that Vegeta should have been done already reaching the next level of SSJ.

Tenshinhan? Peaced out almost immediately against Nappa and Vegeta. Kuririn? Not only did he survive, but he was instrumental in winning the fight.
Kuririn? Fought valiantly on Namek while Tenshinhan languished in the afterlife. Kuririn even successfully duked it out with Freeza for a while in order to stall for time.
Buu Saga? Yamucha comes right out and says that Kuririn is the world’s strongest human. Kuririn also goes hand to hand with Goten in the Tenkaichi Budoukai and matches him evenly. Tenshinhan didn’t even compete, believing he was outclassed and choosing to remain in the wilderness with Chaozu. He showed up later on, just long enough to surprise Buu with a Kikoho and get taken out.
I have nothing against Tenshinhan, but his heyday was early in the series, before the sci-fi element began to marginalize the human characters. Kuririn was really the only one who could stick it out in the company of aliens and hybrids.
I always thought that Gohan would have been the best if chichi wasn’t around and he hadn’t gotten all settled down… Goten seems like Goku without the strength, so he fails…
i’d have to agree with bunnyhead… i always felt Vegeta was stronger than Goku without the fighting for everyone assist… f that, if goku didn’t have any help, dbz wouldn’t have gone past the saiyan saga…
THEN vegeta tore goku up during the beginning of the buu saga…
and since the half human+ half saiyan genetics makes you stronger than either pure saiyan or pure human, trunks would be the best… future trunks, since reg trunks kinda gets watered down by his playfulness with goten…
trunks needed all that trauma in the future to thug him up…
so, in sum, future trunks would have destroyed vegeta at their comparable ages, and 35 year old future trunks would have decimated 35 year old vegeta…
Frieza is the best fighter in the series…hands down.
He raped Kurrin, gohan, piccolo and vegeta at the same time! He was beatin the shit out of goku…but of course frieza had to lose. (hes the bad guy )
Hell, frieza even made Cell…if he didnt get friezas cells he wouldnt have been shit…think about how many times Cell used “death beam”
Son Goku is the greatest warrior in the Dragon Ball universe. That’s really an indisputable fact. Fighting is the only thing he’s truly good at it, but he’s the best there is. Soup to nuts, he edges out even the strongest of the other characters.
Another thing that held Gohan back was that he couldn’t train himself. Goku/Vegeta/Future Trunks can all train themselves. Hell Goku would have been much weaker than Vegeta w/out master training assist.
He was holding back, was he not? Iirc Vegeta realized this some time into their fight (“I know all about it… your ‘Super Saiyajin 3’…” or something to that effect).
Vegeta and Goku(on SSJ2) are completely even. When Vegeta came back he said he knew Goku was holding back on him because Goku has SSJ3 and let Vegeta think he had a chance. This led to the whole Vegeta refusing help from Goku vs Gohan Buu.
Kuririn spent most of his life either chasing tail or lamenting that he couldn’t get a wife. He and Yamucha are pretty much the only characters in the series with prominent romantic feelings towards women.
