Blame his publisher. He originally intended to leave everyone dead and finish out the series with the end of both Freeza and Goku. He had to come up with all the technicalities of the Dragon Balls in order to bring everyone back, since the publisher wanted to continue the series.
Toriyama wanted this as well. Goku’s refusal to stay out of the picture, once again, was the publisher’s idea.
i finished watching all the dbz and db movies (and specials) They were all ok, but the more modern ones were much better I think. I think i’m gonna watch the rest of the original dub dbz episodes… <3 the internet

At the end of Buu, Toriyama just said, “Fuck it. You guys do it.”

Not just the publishers, the fans also wanted more and more. Also, they DEFINITELY wanted Goku to stay the main character, since they’ve grown so attached.
When I heard they were releasing a special DVD with the best fights of DBZ, I know it was gonna suck hard. They did something similar to this with one of the Budokai releases on the PS2. Fan reaction said the DVD blew massive donkey penis.

So it’s actually just Katakana in Japanese? I’ve never seen the Japanese title, which is why I asked (since I can still read Katakana and Hiragana at least after all these years).
That’s all I was asking since the Japanese word for “ball” (one of them at least) happens to be the same thing for “jewel” (in Kanji).

“Rock The Dragon” was unique in that it reminded me (and others) of those catchy themes from U.S. toons from the 80’s and 90’s.
However, I wish this style was the first and only time it was used in an anime dub.
