No. He sounds like a big, hulking version of Japanese Freeza… who I guess sounds very SLIGHTLY gay, but not even close to the effeminate wheezer that the American version is.

thank you…wow…that’s a biiig difference in voices…also this scene in comparison to funi’s job…Japanese trunks didn’t yell nearly as much as American trunks did if i remember correctly…But I liked the music Funi had playing when this scene happened.
Lol in the dub in general the characters make a lot more noise. Basically any time that no one on screen has a mouth moving, they’ll have an offscreen character, or someone who has their back to the character talking or something. It’s kinda jarring actually, the dub ALWAYS has some sort of noise going on.
He did kill future First Form Cell.
Which is one of the reasons why I don’t like the dub. Nobody ever shuts up, and when they do there’s some goofy, not fitting music in the background that just kills everything. Bleh
And I heard King Kold’s voice in Japanese recently too, and I just thought, “How the FUCK did they decide to give such a badass sounding character such a gay voice?!” Then again, he probably has that “gay” speech pattern in his voice, like Freeza, but both of their voices in the dub aren’t right (Linda Young is a great voice actor, though)

I was looking through profiles on tenkaichi 3 and it dawned on me just how many characters Christopher Sabat plays in this series…O.o;
Edit:…and for the record…now that i realize that…I absutely hate how his Recoome sounds ><…When I heard the name change in the games I didn’t know that it was him.
Ocean Dub voices were IMO cooler…Scott McNeil owned the hell out of Piccolo.
The Ginyu in a whole sounded much better than Funi’s…
In the dubs, not only do the voices not fit, but the fight scenes sound like the vocals were lifted from a sex scene from a gay porno.
