Hey guys I’m about to retire my shabby VCD bootlegs and replace them with good quality, japanese ones that are uncut and have good english subtitles.
Which DBZ set is the best one to go for?
I’ve seen one with purely blue/yellow covers, one that’s split into 8 seasons (Vegetto on the 8th one and Vegeta on the 1st, I think) and I think there’s a Dragon boxset as well??
Any suggestions for a perfect Dragonball set would be appreciated too.
If you just want the cheapest set possible, the Season sets are usually around 20 bucks a box, but are cropped widescreen. The Dragon Box sets are between 30 to 40 bucks a box, but have the original, fullscreen image, and more accurate colors.

@ReKo- Hmm would you be thinking of getting Kai? The DVDs/BluRays aren’t up to date with Japan, but they’re still pretty good.

Interesting, never even thought about Kai to be honest - might just have to buy both sets!
Definitely gonna go with the Dragon Box though.
So did anyone pick up Tenkaichi Tag Teamfor the PSP?

Anyone else tried the demo for Raging Blast 2?

Well then how about some feedback, please? I mean even if you didn’t like it, post about your gripes.

Im referring to Z, but not the Funimation garbage. I mean the original Japaenese broadcasts. You can’t find them anywhere - or at least, I never have. I downloaded them a loooong time ago and still have them on like… 20+ CDs, but i’d much prefer a real set.
There’s not really much to say, especially since I didn’t really play RB1 to post a decent comparison. Pretty much, good news, it’s nice that they added weight to your attacks to where you actually feel like you’re hitting someone.
You might as well get the Dragon Box sets…

Both of those box sets have the original Japanese version on there. In fact, the Dragon Box defaults to the Japanese language version.

I was just about to post that.
I’m taking the news with a HUUUGE grain of salt until I hear an official announcement. That said, manga based off of Dragonball Online would be amazing.

1:10 mark onward.
Very random but anyone remember that part where Vegeta was getting beat by 18 and trunks jumped in to save him? Of course 17 got into the mix and pretty dismantled all the Z fighters with one hit each. One thing I remember is 17 grabbed Tien in a head lock and was crushing his neck. Vegeta looked up and saw 17 killing Tien slowly and he got this instant burst of rage and took off after 17. Only to be caught by 18 mid blast off.
Call me crazy but I took that as Vegeta getting pissed that 17 was killing one of his comrades even though he basically said he didn’t care about anyone. Or maybe despite them being weak he acknowledged them as honorable warriors because of what he knows of them from past encounters. Not that he would ever admit it.
Also, 18 was basically right there beside him, why not try to turn her lights out first? Even though Tien was considerably weak compared to a SSJ Vegeta, Vegeta still acknowledged him as a warrior/comrade/friend. I guessing because Tien stood up to him and Nappa back in the day without fear and as a warrior knowing he didn’t stand a chance. This time around it was the same deal with Tien rushing in to help just then knowing he didn’t stand a chance.
Random I know…
it was his pride, he just wanted to kill the andriods by himself…he still didnt care about anyone, everyone could have died there on the spot just imagine if 16 joined in or hell 17 or 18 could have killed them all by themselves…but they where “programmed” to find goku I guess they where no threat…what I want to know is why trunks was weaker when he first went to the past…in his timeline he could keep up with both andriods until they double teamed…im sure trunks could have handled them one on one with no need to go to the past just like with gohan if he had his arm…in trunks timeline 16 was destroyed along with gero’s lab completely once they realized goku had already died…they pretty much went renegade then and in turn was more cruel and heartless than the other timeline andriods…but since they are “focuesed” on finding goku in the other timeline they are more calm…

No kidding… I didn’t know that… Guess I’ll hafta invest!
Well the “twist” was supposed to be that the Androids in the normal DBZ timeline are stronger than the Future Trunks line. A reason for that could be because 19 and 20 had already fought them and sent data back, pumping up their power or something before releasing them, when in the F. Trunks line, there were no 19 and 20. The point was that Trunks heading back there messed with the timeline a little more than anticipated.
