Is Supercade Down?

Glad to hear replays! YES!:wgrin:

replays don’t load for me… the emulator window remains blank
does anyone know a workaround/fix for this?

I’m having crashes lately with the recent update. Does this happen to anyone?

It happens to me too. I get to the login screen, I type in my details, and bam, it crashes. What the hell. I wish I could figure out what’s making it crash. Windows 7?

Save replays onto your hard drive. Double-click on the replay file, then it should play.

yeah, i’ve tried that… the result is the same
i tried even to move the roms in the default Supercade directory… still no dice, i can play fine, but i can’t view the replays.

i also tried with the Supercade client open or closed.

i have windows 7 btw.

edit: the replay works only if it’s on the system partition (**C:**)

Wtf? Replays have been available for AWHILE now…

Bullshit. Define “AWHILE”.

Uh, ever since 2DF changed to Supercade. Where have you been?

I think we may have a serious misunderstanding Tech. I am talking about the actual replay files that we were once able to download from other people’s games and “observe” them in the Final Burn Alpha emulator. There were ZILLIONS of them before Damdai took them all down and purged them from the old 2DF site. He explained the reason for doing this was well, there were simply too many and the server couldn’t handle it.

Once Damdai switched over the Supercade, this new Supercade client allowed you to play games against one another like the old 2df client, but that was it. There was absolutely NO link on the Supercade site that allowed us to download replays of other people’s games and view those files offline. They were, much to my disappointment, ALL GONE!

Damdai will gladly come in here and vouch 110% for what I am saying. Now, with the “new and improved” Supercade, Damdai has decided to bring the replays that we all loved so much, back as an option to download them and watch them offline.

I honestly do not know where you got the impression that downloadable replay files were there all along Tech. Perhaps you can explain exactly what you are referring to.

Replay files were provided after you finished playing with a person and a notice box came up telling you where to place them on your HD.

No, there were no replay files on the website; they were always sent to your comp itself. You did not specify “downloadable replay files” in your post, you simply said “replay files”. Which have indeed been available since 2DF’s creation.

I never got why people worried about whether they could see other people’s replays anyways as long as you got to save your own (frankly I don’t think its anyone else’s business) but that’s just me.

Two words Tech “Groupie Love” Kidding of course… Sorta?
But I think some reasons to be able to download other players replays is…
A. If you got friends who play supercade they/you can scope out your/there matches.
B. Good match ups lets say 2 high caliber players played a certain game together some may be interested (how many times have we all seen Daigo vs JWong?).

But for me old Supercade gave me replays like once every blue moon. So I prefer this method of saving replay more.

I can’t seem to get it running. This is what I got:
--------------------------- Supercade --------------------------- This request operation sent to net.tcp://supercade.net:7000/Server did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00:01:00). The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. This may be because the service is still processing the operation or because the service was unable to send a reply message. Please consider increasing the operation timeout (by casting the channel/proxy to IContextChannel and setting the OperationTimeout property) and ensure that the service is able to connect to the client. --------------------------- --------------------------
Any one with any helpful ideas to get it to run?

I am having a SuperCade Crisis as well. When ever I attempt to open up SuperCade on Internet Explorer and Mozilla FireFox I get this Message:
SupercadeClient has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If others are having the same problem then that means Damdai is making more cool Updates. If others are NOT having the same problem then I am screwed. ;(

It seems a small handful of players are unable to login. I will try to find and fix the issue.

Whoever is having problems, try now. If you still get an error, it should be more detailed which will help me fix it.

Yo Damdai how do we get replays now? Is it still the same, where it brings up a prompt box to save it to our HD, or what?

Also is there a way we could get the older game listing back? It was faster to go through, and had that nifty search function.

Go here Tech SuperCade Replays or anyone else who is interested?

Still the same Damdai on both IE and FF Web Browsers. I may be wrong for saying this but, I am glad its not just me.

Need people to play my wife stop playing GGXX, KoF, Tekken and other good games for Facebook and SmartPhones games… Yeah?!!

Hi! I’m getting the same message as Sean’s Apprentice when I try to login. I enter my e-mail address and my password, then it goes “connecting…” for a while and finally I get this (on both Firefox and Internet Explorer) :

This request operation sent to net.tcp://supercade.net:7000/Server did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00:01:00).

I’m using Win XP SP3 and Supercade has been working fine until this last update.
Hope this will help you to fix the issue, damdai.
Great work by the way, I’m so sad I can’t enjoy it no more for the moment.
