No, but I do hate how that character tends to be very stupid, projects poor sportsmanship and pretends to be low tier still making up an insult when winning.

If you care about winning yes. On the plus side I’ve become alot more knowledable about the game since trying to main Dan as you need to establish an advantage through research and execution as opposed to your character itself. Of course when you reach the upper levels everyone is well researched so you’re kind back to the start again as the Coldplay song says!
I dunno, if you watched evo you’ll see that even at the top 32 players don’t have full matchup knowledge against every character down to a science. Throwing in a weird pick like Seth, or Juri can completely mess with their game. Especially if you have knowledge of how to fight their character. Poongko KNEW his stuff backwards and fowards as Seth against Yun and that is why he dominated Daigo so hard. Daigo probably had decent matchup experience against Seth but nothing compared to his Fei Long vs Yun match ups which he had down to a science thanks to fighting Mago and other top japanese players so much.
Never underestimate the potential of a surprise pick in the hands of a strong player. (Ultradavid mains Dan now and there is a video of him beating Mike Ross online pretty solidly.)

I remember posting this originally awhile back. Cody is my Main these days, but Dan is my Number 3. Of all the characters I use, Dan lets me be more Whacky in my match ups. It also helps to set up new counters and baits too. Feels good man.
That and I just love the Saikyo way of life.
I am not maining Dan, but i am playing him as 3rd character; i am constantly laughing when doing the backdash, i think it´s hilarious :]
I wouldn’t be playing SF4 (any version) if it wasn’t for Dan, and yes he is my main but you do have to work harder but man it’s so satisfying hearing “Dan Wins!!” at the end of the match.
I did notice that Dan’s dragon punch is really really good, saved my life a bunch of times. It’s almost as top tier as Ryo’s dp in CvS2.
