One thing I’ve wondered about is when a match ends in A3 and you lose and don’t continue immediately, it goes into arcade mode and often times the multiple screens that come up (such as character introduction, and the before fight screen) just flash by really quickly. Or when you win the opponents remaining seconds to continue decrease to 0 REALLY quickly. Is this a sign of autofire? I know you can press the button again to skip the screen but I’ve seen it many times where this just seems to happen way to quickly. And think about it, if you’re playing in Kaillera and you expect your opponent to continue, why would you skip those screens at all? Just wait for them to continue, it’s usually gonna take no more than say 2 seconds if that.

but that isn’t a good litmus, some people mash buttons randomly in frustaration after a loss and between matches to hurry things up

programmed? yeah, it’s programmed… into their heads. once you practice something repeatedly, you have no choice but to be able to do it perfectly. I remember playing someone named Mokura in SSF2 who also had perfect throwing technique. it got to the point where whenever he was able to throw me, i really was thrown and it blew my mind but i never accused him of cheating… instead i looked at his gameplay and tried to learn from his tactics. soon, I was half as good at throwing as he was

autofire? ha… I don’t even consider that shit cheating, although I would never use it because i’d like to be able to mash on my own skill, especially since I want to play MvC2 someday.

anyways, people like Magnifico are right. you can’t just say that it’s “highly unlikely”. you’re probably just too much of an unskilled, uninformed (no, this isn’t to insult you) player to be able to comprehend that something like that can work. but man… if you think jumping over a fireball into LP is programmed magical cheating, MVC2 will make you bust a nut

I challenge anyone here saying that these moves are easy to complete to play me in SS2T . I will sit back and let you do some of these moves round after round. Lets see if you can pull them off consistently.

yeah solomarine is the guy who air throws everytime with Guile. The other guy, like I said, I have seen posting here so unless I know for sure I’m gonna keep it on the down low.

And yeah, I’m not questioning the ability to do these moves. Obviously if they are getting done, then they were programmed that way. I am questioning the players ability to pull them off consistently and in this case, flawlessly on kaillera which isn’t exactly state of the art. It’s like if you are playing COUNTER-STRIKE and someone seems to be getting mostly headshots. If they are able to do this day in and day out, you suspect they are cheating because it’s unlikely with all the different pings.

I gonna assume the person using Ryu is Mr. 1999, but this is all besides the point. Anyway I don’t play ST much so CDL take what I’ll say however you will.

I doubt anyone you’ve played is cheating simply because your game is a tad bit repetitive, it only took 2 losses to effectively read what you were gonna do (almost always a jump attack), and then come up with a way to counter it (any AA move, an DP? anticipatory gulie throw?). also I don’t understand with beef you have with jab DP’s cos when you picked Ryu that’s all you were throwing out.

This isn’t an attack against you it seems like the people you were playing were simply better than you and you didn’t like it. Also I can only speak for myself but your arguments aren’t really convincing, bait hadoukens and DP’s autofire? tick throwing?

Macro1A is a super (quarter cirle forward + 3P)
Macro1B is a another super (dragonpunch motion + 3P). I use it for Wolvie’s WeaponX
Macro1C is Strong Punch + Strong Kick
Macro1D is a combo. LP,LK,MP,MK,HP,HK. Can you say aerial combo ?
Macro1E is Team super. Ouch
Macro1F is Akuma’s Demon Rage
Macro1G is 3 punch, and will allow the player to use other input at the same time
Macro1H is 3 kicks, and will allow the player to use other input at the same time
Macro1I is Sonic boom. Hold back for 1 second, the Forward + Strong punch
Macro1J is Hard Kick, then release, and allow reading the controller while macro performs.
Since macros loop if you keep but button down, this macros is “Mash hard kick”.
Basically, I use it to trigger ChunLi’s lightning kicks

Now when you’ve define your macros’ behaviour, you have to assign them to keys.

Key_Macro1A executes Macro1A
Key_Macro1B executes Macro1B
…

Next, you also have to map the Macro reverse keys.
The reverse macro key is used to reverse the direction of a macro:
If Macro1A = D,DL,L123 pressing Key1_MacroReverse + Key_Macro1A will execute D,DR,R123
Kawaks knows the side of your character in fighting games, you don’t even have to
use the reverse key to make a move because you changed side !

You can modify all the key settings in the INIs, or use Kawak’s redefine keys dialog box

As for the jab dragon punch, I think everyone is missing my point. It’s obviously a decent strategy to not use the fierce dragon as much. That alone I have no problem with. What I was saying is, I was noticing so much repetiveness in this guys game, that I had a feeling that he may have used macros.

For instance, he would use the same moves, jab dragon, jab fireball, fierce fireball, and the suepr, with Ryu, but he never uses the hurricane kick, or standard fireball.

EDIT: What about FBA?
Is there any type shit ppl use with that, besides the triple punch or kick short cut?
The only problem i found with FBA was that it desynchs fast, and that fireballs go invisible in lag. But if it’s in some low ping(what you want to play in anyway), FBA could be tight.

Ask Prozac` Nation about FBA, I know he was talking about which is best for recording, online play, smoothest, etc.

well why would u change ur pattern if u dont need to?

heres an example of autofire user.
I get grabbed by ken his kicks does about 14 hits…
and he says he just mashes…

his lvl 1 shinryuken does like 15 hits.

again he says Im just mashing alog.

and then thers MVC. agaianst cap america. he jumps HP left and rite when I get close I get grabbed when I grab he techs this happens 100% of the time. I jump in kick he blocks but he hits me with a jab b4 I even hit the ground. even with the lag.

I’ve been playing around with the built in auto-fire on MAME32K and I know now that the majority of the people I play are using it.

You would be suprised how much easier it is to pull off moves with auto-fire on. I put auto-fire on all 6 buttons in SUPER STREET FIGHTER 2 TURBO and just went to town.

For example, you can hold down fierce punch while doing the 360 degree moves like the spinning pile driver and the timing is near perfect. It’s hard to miss-time the button push. You can spam fireballs all day by just holding down the button and continuosly pressing DOWN, DOWN-FORWARD, FORWARD. (if you do it too fast, you will dragon punch instead)

It’s also so much easier to do the dragon punch. It all has to do with the latency. Your timing is always off compared to offline play. By holding down the button, while doing the motion, it’s much much much harder to miss.

You also get a wild throwing advantage. Like, a lot of times, if someone jumps in and you go to do a fierce or roundhouse on them, you end up doing a throw instead. It’s wild. You can also shake out of a dizzy in less than a second. A guy did that to me the other day with Zangief.

You can do combos you didn’t even know, by just randomly holding down different buttons. It’s crazy.

I know that in the very least, Ryu1999 uses auto-fire, because he once told me that he did (although he claims he only uses it for ALPHA 3 because of the “lag”). He may use macros as well, but I’m not sure.

Now that I know the secret, I think I will use auto-fire as well. If they are going to cheat, then I am going to even up my odds.

Most players who are atleast decent probably know already that, there are players who can only play WITH autofire, and there are players who are good regardless of them using autofire or not. I don’t support autofire and I do consider it cheating myself, but…I also know that Ryu would play well even w/o the auto.

Tho, ryu…I certainly hope you don’t use it in A3
