By me Chinatown is good, you can always find new games a couple of days after. EB Games and Gamestop in NYC suck hard.
Damn, I haven’t played Charlotte in a port since Samsho 2 on the Neo Geo Pocket. She will rise again…

Pushed back until the 17th SNK is really holing true to the delayed KINGS!!!
I was just going to post this. Checked both Ebgames and Gamestop websites and saw it. Why do they keep pushing it back so much? This game better play flawlessly on live for this.
The 17th huh? Oh well I can buy this game on day one again.
This better be the best SamSho ever, I want pain sleves to be included. So when you cut someones are off the sleve makes their arm go numb.
There’s a better version of SSV. SSVSP. They’re porting over V for some reason. Which I’ve heard is really broken. Hence the reason for SP. I don’t know why they’re bringing over V and not SP.
I was looking forward to picking this up this afternoon, but about an hour and a half before I was going to leave to buy it, I checked EB’s site again, and it said it was pushed back (again…this game has been pushed back more times than KOF2k2/2k3) to the 17th.
Sometime in December Gamespot played a nearly-finished build of the game, and they said the rematch option on Live was acting wonky, i’m guessing that may be the reason for the most recent delays?
Fadedsun: EBGames/Gamestops usually don’t get in many copies of SNK games for Xbox (KOF Maximum Impact being an exception). I wouldn’t call KOF2k2/2k3 for Xbox a rare find, since you can still find it new (sealed) in many stores, but it is alot less common than many new games coming out today. One of my local Circuit City locations has like 10 copies (for each game) of Guilty Gear XX #R, KOF2k2/2k3, Metal Slug 3 and 4 and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection sitting on the shelf collecting dust. If you can’t find a copy of 2k2/2k3 instore and don’t want to order it online (Gamestop still stocks it online, new and used), I can pick you up a copy.
BTW, has anyone ever found a SNK game (besides Maximum Impact) at a Best Buy (in-store)? I’ve checked almost 20 locations, but none have had any (nor do they online…).
That’d be cool, man. If you don’t mind doing that. I can send you the money via paypal. Just name your price.
I saw the xbox version is more common than the PS2 version. I did some searches on ebay and the PS2 version was going for $40 brand new while the xbox version was going for around $25. If you can find either version it’d be much appreciated. :china: PM me and let me know.
No no no, get the Xbox version.
We need more peeps on Live.
yeah I played and it was cool, I played as some red guy I forgot his name but he was awesome and I was kicking ass.
can anyone explain the fighting engine in this game?
how is meter built up? how can meter be used?
how is the combo system? are there counters?
i’d like to know before i pick this game up.
on some sega special championship shit?
damnit been trying to pick this up since the 17th and still no luck…
ohhwell…hopefully better luck today
Finally got it. I was online last night real late (2:00 AM, 3:00 Eastern) and no one was on. I’ll try to get some online games in on Saturday.
Yeah, Chinatown still had copies of the game. Damn EB and Gamestop suck hard in NYC.
i’ll try and be online lata tonight for games.

you build up meter by getting hurt. if you dont use it for a while after you max it out, it goes away. you can use a full meter to toss out a super, or you can sacrifice your meter all together to stop the timer, increase your power, and be allowed to do supers. that is useful for if you are nearing death, the opponent has a decent amount of life, the timer is running out, and you dont have enough meter to do a super
Since I am the first one to dis SSV on here let me state. I have my gripes with this game and I am suprised I have not destroyed a controller for watching my character die countless time even though I watch his blade go through the other character, I do enjoy SSV is my own masocistic way. I get the feeling of what I went through w/ Vitura Fighter 4 where it’s taking me forever to get used to the game. Only thing is this game does not come w/ a tutorial and it’s more about learning the B.S…
Edit Sorry Posted this on the wrong thread. This is what happens when you try to use the brain when sick.
I have a question about the random character select button. why the hell does it seem to always pick either mina or yoshi? i dont know if its just weird luck with me, or if its a problem with everyone, but it really gets me steamed
I noticed that too, same deal for me. Mina Yoshi and Jubei, nobody else.
so its safe to say this game is dead on arrival?
