Someone should re-vamp this thread, listing IM’s most practical combos, setups, infinites, etc. I really want to play team combofiend, and want to start learning IM, but I’m still confused as to where to start.

So… I’m having immense difficulty getting IM’s infinite to work.
This is what I’m trying to do (training mode, no assist, Cable dummy):
c.LK -> s.HK -> sj.HP -> addf LP -> u+HP -> infinite [j.LP -> j.MP -> j.MK -> j.HP]
I’m losing it when I try to s.HK -> sj.HP -> addf LP -> u+HP
when I hit c.LK -> s.HK, am I supposed to let the stick go neutral -> down, up for s.HK to launch or am I able to hold up while hitting HK so that I automatically jump when my opponent gets launched?
How soon am I trying to hit the opponent with HP (am I supposed to be holding up during this?) after I super jump? I suppose as soon as possible to keep my opponent closest to the ground.
After I hit my opponent with sj.HP, getting the addf LP to connect is murderous. I just cannot get it. I’ve spent the last week in training mode, and I think I’ve gotten it 2-3 times total. Is there any technique with the stick you guys can recommend to consistently get addf LP to connect?
It’s not too bad actually.
Just hit neutral FP right after you sj. The addf can be delayed just a tiny bit if it helps you out. It’s easy street from there. After you get it twice, you’re good.
So…
launch with s.HK (stick in neutral) -> sj.HP (down, up for the super jump, then let stick go back to neutral, then hit HP) -> addf LP -> u.HP -> infinite?

you only need to press up after a launch to sj. then back to neutral, hp, addf, lp, mp, up+hp, land, infinite
or launch, sj, up+hp, add, lp, up+hp, infinite
or launch, sj, d+hp, addf, lk, mk, up+hp, land, infinite
No, neutral after you sj, then fp, then addf.
It’s like lk,hk, (tap up for the sj)
Neutral fp (to get the straight punch)
addf
juggle with lp, and then up + hp
land
normal jump, juggle with lp, mp, mk, up+hp (repeat this part) (you may have to juggle with lk, mp, mk, up+hp sometimes depending on how low they are.
it’s 2 lps after the air dash…well, a lp then a mp…
Yeah, I’m semi-new. I was doing s.HK (while holding up on the stick) to get my jump after launch, but wasn’t sure if my holding up was messing up any inputs. It’s more natural for me to do this in order to get the jump.

I thought so to, but I think 2 is safer, especially from the sounds of his combo experience.
yea. i honestly thing the easiest way is the sjc setup, though. thats just me though
See, I’m a 3S player trying to get used to Marvel. I can do Sentinel’s HSF combos, Cable’s AHVBx3, Magneto’s HGxxMagStorm combo, etc, but getting IM’s infinite down is tough, especially since I’m not used to pressing so man buttons/stick commands. Me = c.MK xx Super.
Anybody Got a list of the top IM teams? or gimmie a link to where it is. thanks.
