He fixed a problem he caused and his solution to defeated Ultron made things worse and his team of Avengers is his way of running damage control. I’m failing to see where Pym is a good character. Wolverine shares a lot of the blame but that’s Bendis writing him as an idiot to serve his plot.
Dude…he was a founding avenger, helped defeat a lot of super villains and is respected by his peers. I’m failing to see why Lang is a better choice when clearly even mark thinks pym is a better character…
haha, thats pretty spot on. ive defended iron man 3 for at least being better then avengers, but after rewatching it recently, that trailer is pretty much spot on. i enjoyed iron man 3, but it was definitely kinda retarded. lol
Wow, IM3 was absolute trash lol, I mean they turned 1 of the most bad ass villians into comic relief/wtf clown character and its only redeeming quality was making Gwyneth Paltrow bad ass and sexy as fuck at the same time. Scarjo looked fat in Avengers, thats probably the only thing you could talk about between both movies xD
I dunno, I just feel like I’m built different. The ‘Honest Trailer’ comes off as “they did this instead of this so it’s bad” - what happened to just trying to enjoy a movie? I’m not saying you have to like it - not at all, but the fun poked at it just is more off-putting of the reviewer than the movie. Yeah the movie was less Starks in the suit. So what. We still saw the suit fighting and doing shit. Hell, we like to posture that Naruto is stupid for not sending clones out to do everything, yet here they are criticizing a movie for essentially romanticizing this concept. The only ‘fatal flaw’ in the movie to me centers around the ending where it can be inferred that Tony takes on a modified version of Extremis - something that should have happened during the movie as opposed to Pepper. Even looking at regular man, he was still 90% more MacGuyver than regular man - showing that its not the suit that’s the hero but Tony.
I dunno…I understand what they are getting at, they just make it sound so much worse than it actually was.
To the same degree it sounds like your making it better than what it actually was xD
To me the movie was a massive whiff basically because I find Tony Stark a boring character who was robbed of his critical flaws that made him decent in the comics. He got away with that in the first 2 because it was an origins story. Also he powered up his arrogance in the 3rd movie to an uncomfortable level, some of his dialogue with the kid at times made me think ‘damn there is literally a 30m gap in this movie where fuck all happens at all’.
Guy Pearce was pretty solid, going from mook to bad ass, and being the big bad was no where near as shocking as Mandarin being a clown.
Action scenes were shite, Iron Man 2 was better in that regard, floating arms and legs and penis jokes got old after the first time. Hulk Buster suit was sweet, movie didnt need 50 suits though.
Rhodes was cool, perfect foil so credit there.
Happy seemed a bit forced, wtf would he go OTT at stark industries when hes best buds with a guy that made legit perfect AI? Crap comic relief. Should have killed him off for dramatic effect, would make Starks emo media stunt somewhat agreeable.
Pepper was awesome, kinda saved Avengers 2 now that shes the Iron Lady (lawl).
Way the president got captured was stupid, also how the Iron Patriot suit did nothing with him in it and as soon as rhodes jumps in it was all systems green. Doesnt Stark have control over all that shit? yea major plot failure.
So meh as a movie i could watch it and enjoy some of it, but for something that came after avengers it was pretty much bollucks.
Why the hell has the movie been released on Digital DL, but not on Blu ray (till the 24th). I expect this to become the trend soon enough (unfortunately)
