For some odd reason, a handful of people who usually use Sent as an anchor really like Dormammu as an alternate. While that doesn’t really warrant anything, his dark hole assist has been working really well with my Tron. It doesn’t cover as much as Sent’s drones but it is just about as lengthy for Tron to jump in and pop a cross-up and what not.
A crouching Morrigan can launch it … don’t ask me why.
I like iron man with repulsor blast, but unibeam is probably the better choice. You really have to be careful trying to use blast as an anti air, it is slow to come out and easy to punish. Beam helps you get in on zoners, which is trons weakness.
@demonicdrphil - i was practicing TK drills last night and i found that i kept getting H because i would drop down-forward… so instead of 6,2,3,6,9, then H, i would do 6,2,6,9… resulting in a sj.H… i also found that letting the joystick back to neutral seemed to help, but i felt that it was more because the timing helped it…
@MoFro - yeah, i was talking about weapon prime-x… i can’t combo into it if x-23 is on point, so i put her second to DHC into it… looks like i’ll be switching to ammy sooner than i thought cuz of the patch =P i’ve also been looking into switching out x-23 to storm… i just cant mount a proper offensive with x-23… and i need an assist killer =P
You can definitely combo into it if X-23 is on point if you have Amaterasu Cold Star assist. It’s just very tricky. After finishing an air series with X-23 with Talon Dive L, I hold down on the joystick. Then as soon as I land, at the same time I’d normally start the QCF+M for the OTG, I press the assist button right as I start the QCF. Then Ammy shoots Cold Star at the opponent right after you OTG, which gives you the chance to WXP (much easier in the corner; it can be tricky mid-screen). It takes a bit of practice to get it down but it definitely works. I can post a video tomorrow if this doesn’t make sense.
What are the best ways to follow up Tron’s non command throws? In the corner? Out of the corner? With meter? Without meter?
Otg assist (Ive been using deadpools Katana Rama) or Tron’s own otg with an assist to keep them in place (beams probably work the best)
with meter, i’d say go for her standard combo with otg/assist otg if it’s gonna kill. if not, just a normal air one without any super enders. should be the same as command grab minus the assist otg
Makes complete sense, i didn’t know ammy can let you combo weaponxprime because sentinel assist didn’t =/ neither does tron assist =( nice feature on the frontpage btw, i like the combos =) but i always seem to find myself without ammy for my combo because i use her to rush in…

Before I Get Flamed
This is not a combo video.
More an informative video that shows a quirk that Only Tron is capable of doing In-game.
Please watch the video. and if you guys can find anything that you can do related to my new patented (Harhar) Discovery please share on this thread.
nice find baddy. seems like a good way to setup the DHC glitch. use the beacon bomb midcombo to switch out for someone who can start the glitch (spencer, jill, whoever) and DHC right back to tron with King Kobun. Resets damage and hitstun and continues trons combos indefinitely. Tron definitely can build enough meter to keep this going for a long, long time.
Congratulations, you just gave me another way to turn any tron combo that builds 2 meters into a touch of death combo. (:
god i love this character
I asked this question in another thread but it doesn’t seem like too many people are reading that one. Here it is.
Which character do you think is a better anchor? Doom or Tron? My current team is Wekser(b)/Tron(b)/Doom(y) in that order. I find that Doom isn’t exactly the greatest character to be alone but then again, Tron isn’t the best either. Which of the two do you guys think will be better alone?
Tron can already start the DHC glitch you dont need to tag anyone in
@ stevestevenson: I am aware of this. The thing is, you have to DHC from beacon bomb into a non hitting or special state super. Meaning that normally, if you dont have someone capable of performing that left on your team, you cant do it without blowing Xfactor to turn a damage dealing super into a non-hit super. With baddy’s discovery, you can start a combo with tron, and during the combo, switch over to someone who is unable to act as the finisher in the DHC trick, but is able to act as the starter. From there, start the DHC trick, and DHC to tron to finish it.
Example: Magneto does not have a non-hitting or special state super, and cannot function as the finisher in the DHC trick unless you blow Xfactor to turn one of his supers into a non-hit super. With baddy’s trick, you can switch over to magneto mid-combo, and use him to start the DHC trick with hypergrav, and then DHC to King Kobun. Meaning that if you are down to just magneto and tron left, you can now start the DHC with either tron OR magneto instead of just magneto.
This is fucking amazing. Jill, spencer, haggar and magneto now all have incredible synergy with tron because of this. (it would be more then those four, but alot of characters DHC trick starters don’t knock the opponent high enough for king kobun to connect after the DHC.)
@ CmRoddy: Personally, I’d save tron for last. Doom benefits more from gustaff fire then tron benefits from doomrocks. Plus lvl3 xfactor tron’s basic combos all kill pretty much anyone in the game, so you only need to score that one lucky crossup jH and they lose a character. This is assuming your willing to save xfactor for your last character. Its all your preference though, really.
The naked tag thing is nice, but the timing is EXTREMELY tight. I tried it last night and Amaterasu’s S doesn’t reach the opponent (because she comes in at mid-screen, opponent is not at mid-screen). I guess you’d have to have a fast, long range S attack to make it work, and that’s what She-hulk has. I’m doubtful that Hyper Grav would land in time, and who knows if Hyper Grav will even capture someone who’s being held by Servbots? Doesn’t Mag have a Hyper Grav assist in this game? Maybe try that first to see if it even works.
That’s assuming they’re stupid enough to call it out from full screen.
Towards the end, she loses the low invulnerability, or at least that’s what it seems like.
Advancing Guard enemy’s pressure when it is called and do a beam super at a safe distance
Characters with very low hitboxes can mash out crouching a
Invulnerable moves/supers
Use characters with teleports to go behind and punish
Is what I understand
Are there any more options?
Overpowered? In a Marvel game? It’s one of those “just deal with it” things imo. Snap her in if her assist is a problem.
Anyone who played Marvel 2 should be thanking their lucky stars for this assist, her old gamma assist was absurd. It would literally take out 3/4 of most assist characters’ life.
