Room Escape (Free): I’m a big fan of those flash games where you have to overturn furniture, combine items, and solve shit to get out. Unfortunately this is a really poor attempt at one. The controls just downright suck. It has a lot of diffuclty discerning whether you want to inspect something or change view. It’s free so give it a go but don’t expect much
Jules Verne’s Return to Mysterious Island ($2.99): This was on sale for $0.99 during the weekend so I figured I would get it. The game is really fun. It’s a port of the old game which is a myst-type game. My only gripe with it is my version seems bugged. The long monologue you get during the opening video keeps playing in loop in the background. I can’t get rid of it. Otherwise a good game
Battle of Pirate bay ($0.99): A great game. Imagine flight control meets Defend your castle. You have 3 ships that move at different speeds and have different amounts of amunition. You trace their paths for them to intersect enemy ships so they don’t get to your base. It’s a really addicting and fun game. Only problem is since the upgrade to 3.0, the game crashes upon defeat so it doesn’t save your score. BUT a patch has already been sent by the devs to Apple and we are just waiting for it to hit the app store.
Zombies & me ($0.99): Yes I know, how many goddamn zombie games do we need on the iphone? Oh well this one is fun and cheap. Basically your town is invaded by zombies and the army are bombing it, you run around trying to shepherd the zombies under the incoming bombs to kill them without dying in the blast. Easy, quick, and fun.
That RE4 iPhone leak was impressive. It had better than N64 graphics and animation. If priced right and with enough content it could be a hit for Capcom.
After losing my laptop that had my iPhone data + my whole song database and then losing the iPhone itself months later because it just stopped charging one day, I finally picked up a new one. I feel so out of the loop with all the greatest and latest apps.
Is there a way I can check to see which apps I’ve already purchased so that I can redownload them?
Small request to 3 people that want to help a brother out :karate::karate:
Download Epic Pet Wars(free) --> set up a pet (takes like 1-2 minutes) --> go the the battle master tab —> and then there’s an option to link your account to epicpetwars.com. --> logged in @ epicpetwars.com go to the wild fire section and input the code OZSLNU (lowercase).
It’s for an achievement I need in the game lol, thx in advance.
to those with an ipod touch…how does that work?
am i the only one that feels like the layout of the ipod classic is better? the fact that i can scroll using the wheel, turn tracks using it, etc…vs a touch screen? i hardly ever use my iphone to listen to music. its not good with it IMO…if i’m walking somewhere i can accidentally do something i don’t want to do because of the touch screen.
i worry about this because its obvious that the ipod touch is the future and that ipod classics will get phased out shortly.
more than the touch screen? am i the only one that unintentionally changes tracks, turns down the volume, turns up the volume, turns to another song, turns the song off, etc. by just holding the iphone??
shits wack to me. i mean i see the direction they’re going with this but i dunno…i’m not sold on touch screen mp3 players yet.
if i don’t press the home button to get back on the screen with the icons and stay in my contacts list i can accidentally call someone. thats crazy to me too.
Well I don’t have the call problem since I have an Ipod touch, not an Iphone.
As far as volume goes, I just use the two buttons on the side of the device, not the section of the touch screen dedicated to it.
And I can’t say anything about changing songs because I don’t listen to music. I listen to podcasts which means one “track” lasts an hour plus. Sorry I can’t help you on any of the points
Edit: the newest OS introduced this fucking horrible system where you shake the device to change songs, make sure that bullshit is disabled.
I don’t have that problem. I put the screen to sleep. I bring up controls with a double tap of the home button to avoid doing what you said. Dedicated buttons are always better but a touch screen is a nice trade off.
It’s shake to shuffle not change tracks. And yes, turn that ish off.
lol i had the contacts screen on, turned the phone on sleep mode…started freestyling on the corner about this girl…
after i was done, i went to look at my phone and saw this girl’s pic on the active call screen and that a few minutes had gone by…
haven’t talked to her since. yes, that was an oh shit moment.
I always maintained that if you want an Iphone, Get yourself a blackberry/HTC with an Ipod touch on the side.
All the cool factor of the Iphone and the apps, none of the drawbacks.
