Good stuff to Gary for rolling through round-robin. Only person to even take a round off him in our pool was Chevy. Had a three-way tie in the other pool and Jackie made it out over Corey and Eggers after a play-off.

Played Evil Ryu until Corey knocked me into losers. I think I found my new secondary. I’d like to play this game more often…I think we have some strong potential here.
Next week’s tournament is still at Comic World (store relocation got postponed). Main tournament is UMVC3, secondary tournament is Tekken 6 and the first of its ranbat series.
I need to double-check me schedule, but I THINK I should be able to go to that. I’d like to play Tekken.

The whole scene is pretty much located there. At least you would have the luxury of good practice. Just come to what tournaments there are. We are lucky to even have those.

Other then that anyone want to play some kof online to see if we get 4 bars to each other (i hear its alright still some delay but so much i haven’t experience a 4 bar yet.) also btw yes i did the stereotypical mexican thing and bought the game day one and also been bumping to the game music in my car (haters gonna hate).
I couldn’t in a time that would really work, they wanted us to be there at like 10-11pm on a Sunday or similar times and I just wasn’t willing to do that.
UMVC3 ($3) and Tekken 6 ($2) tomorrow at Comic World. Second tourney in our UMVC3 ranbat and first in our T6 ranbat. I’ll be up there around 5-ish. UMVC3 starts around 6:00, T6 right after Marvel.
Also, just to point it out, I’m making the secondary tournaments each night (SSF4/T6) $2. Mostly to give the out of towners a bit more gas money if/when they win and to give 3rd place their money back at least. I’ll mention it tomorrow night; if there’s enough protest from the people that wanted to enter SF4 or T6, I’ll put it back down to $1.

If Scott is unable to come, you might as well just run SF4 again. I think Scott, Bill and I are really the only ones that care to play Tekken - do you know if Bill is even coming tonight? I mean, it’s really only going to be a 3 man ranbat, lol - is anybody else even planning on playing seriously?
I was going to try to make it, but if there would be more people interested in SF, it would make sense to do that. What time does everything start?
There isn’t a game outside of UMVC3 that all of us would take seriously. SSF4AE has myself, Blake, Eggers, Adam, Corey, and Olli (kinda). Tekken has you, Bill (who isn’t showing up due to being busy and having a life), Scott, Olli, and me (again…kinda). You might be able to add Adam to that list. Same with Justin if he stops up. AH3 is me and Blake, 3rd Strike is me, you, Olli, James and Blake, and HDR is…well, me. Probably add James to any of these lists but he’ll be the first to admit that 3rd Strike is the only one he devotes heart and soul to. I’d add Guilty Gear to this as well but considering the last tournament had me winning with Dizzy…well, that shows how serious we still are with that game. (I kid, I know my character is the easiest to get back in with after not playing for like 3 years.)
The other reason is that I’m trying to show that my own dislike of a game doesn’t automatically disqualify it from being run. I don’t like Tekken anymore but I know others do.
All of this said, I’m testing the waters with these. It’s one of the reasons for the shorter ranbat season (8 weeks). There are a lot of games coming out and with a less-than-two-month commitment to a game it’s easier to swap out a flop of a game than if I committed to one for three months.
UMVC3 starts at 6-ish. T6 would start right after, probably between 7:30 and 8:00.

Sounds like maybe we want to wait to do T6 on a week Bill can show up since right now you’d have a few more for SF? Does Jimmy live around Bill, 'cause I know they like to go to the same events. We can always do T6 another week and maybe get both those guys.
We’re doing T6 every other week. So next week is SSF4, week after is T6, SSF4, T6, SSF4, and then T6. And that’s the end of this ranbat.
It’s up to you guys, I guess, as a tourney only runs if people actually wanna play it. But my plan tonight is T6.
