GGs to Kevin and Murph last night. Though there is something that is bothering me.
Murph you’re a cool guy and I respect you as a player, I mean no offense by what I’m about to say.
Last night when I did a Maximum Spider during Hyper Psionic Blaster I just instinctively did one of his air moves not really thinking. I know it doesn’t have invincibility, when you told me you didn’t have to raise your voice and say “That’s not invincible.” and shake your head with a look on your face like “Are you retarted?” You could have simply said in a normal tone “Oh by the way that doesn’t have invincibility on it.” There wasn’t a need to tell me the way you did.
Again the same thing happened with Darra. I’m sure the average level MVC3 player has only touched Spider-Man like once or twice, I’m sure he didn’t know all the properties of Ultimate Web Throw. Nearly yelling and telling him “ULTIMATE WEB THROW IS AN ANTI-AIR GRAB, IT WILL ONLY HIT PEOPLE IN THE AIR.” probably wasn’t necessary. You could have calmly paused the game or waited till after the match and told him in a normal voice.
I’m not trying to be an asshole or a douche and tell you what you HAVE to do. I just think the way you give other players info could be delivered in a way that doesn’t make them feel like an idiot, or make them want to play less.
LOL!!! Murphy in a nutshell, man! If you’ve ever heard any of us joke around about him, we always say the infamous line “YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!” With extreme emphasis on the “idiot” part. Murphy is too smart for his own good and he has no conscience for another’s feelings - all you gotta do is laugh about it, man. That - and you GOTTA dish it back out! Trash talk - fo’ life!

When I say all these things I am trying to be helpful and convey things in as concise of a way as possible. I’m sorry if you are misreading my mannerisms, but I seriously am not trying to disrespect anyone, just give notes during the match. The invincible thing on spider mans move was a simple statement, the ultimate web throw thing derra specifically made a comment showing he didn’t understand the move. As far as raising my voice, the TV was really loud and I was trying to be louder than it so people could hear me.
But hey, if getting tips on how things works bothers you, I’ll just make sure I don’t say anything at all when you are playing. Either way, I’d appreciate it if you comment directly to me on these things directly in the future instead of starting forum drama over it.
I must not have heard Darra ask about it, my bad. I guess I just misread your tone of voice/emotion and your body language. Sorry about all of that. Getting tips from you doesn’t bother me, keep giving me tips in the future. I’ll just have to know from now on not to think that you are coming off in a rude way. I guess I just haven’t known you long enough to tell when you are super serious or just commenting on something that happened. I didn’t say anything when It happened because I guarantee I would not have gotten my point across as well or thought out what I wanted to say as well, I prob would have said something stupid. I’ll PM you or something in the future, instead of posting on the forums then.
