I went 1-2, don’t let the results fool you though I played real well I think. With as many killers as entered not going 0-2 is a feat. I recorded every match on station 3 (out of 3) and here’s the playlist to them.

That blind pick situation was so hilarious because I was wearing a Guile t-shirt that whole tourney. Thanks for recording the matches, man. This is the first ST tourney I’ve seen where every match was recorded. Glad I begged for that 20 dollars to play.

I think that’s accurate…I don’t feel like getting the notebook out right now. where do you guys play and what time?
My CVS2 radar went off, false alarm.
Just wanted to let everyone know that next Tuesday’s MVC3 tourney here in Dubuque is going on as scheduled. So if any one wants to make the trip, it starts at 6:00 and is $3 to enter. Also, I’ll be running a Tech Romancer tourney right after MVC3 is done. $1, either winner take all or top 2 for prizes.
^Myself and QRS are making the trip.
Also, it looks like I can’t make it to Chicago Heart. I just found out I have family obligations during the weekend. 
Too awesome. Hopefully I’ll actually hit a combo with Cap’n America that isn’t ABCS BBCS. Alex and I got a bunch of games in the other day, feel slightly more confident…

I told some people (drunkenly I might add) Saturday, but Liar’s Club downtown on Court Ave is looking to have me run monthlies there on Sundays. Two big concerns come immediately to mind
- Competing with CR. I love those guys and don’t want to compete, but this is a real good opportunity for us to have a regular place to play.
- I was told I can do these on either Mondays or Sundays, I know neither day works perfectly with work schedules but the bar is too busy on Fridays and Saturdays.
I’m going to fine tune the details etc, but thought I’d get you all pumped for this
Funny how months ago I was pushing the CR guys to move away from Sundays and here I am doing the same thing haha.
Whatever promotes the scene. If those start happening, I’ll make it a point to try to go to them.
Resetting the numbers for the DBQ weekly series. Tonight was the first night of our new ranking series that’ll go until UMVC3 comes out (12 weeks). Leader after 12 weeks gets a copy of UMVC3, on me. I’ll have other prizes for top placers as well, and some random stuff for random things (such as “best win percentage” or “most improved”), but that’s the main thing. Also doing a random game after each MVC3 tourney, $1 entry, with the following week’s game decided on at the end of the tournament via drawing. And yes, we’ll have a ranking series for that as well, with top prize being a Capcom art book and other prizes being some SF comics and such. Also, the games are fun as hell, and I pity fools that don’t enter.

Congrats to Blake for taking Dubuque’s money again. Honorary props to Jackie for quite possibly the most entertaining matches tonight with the Dante/Shuma/Arthur combination. If Olli didn’t win those close matches with you, there was a good chance you could’ve taken the entire tournament after that.
