Well, Joker’s tourny is tomorrow, and that’s in Des Moines (which looks like it isn’t far for you), so that’s something you can go to that’s immediate. Otherwise, MOK (my event in CR) is next month.
Won’t be able to make it to joker’s tourny but when is the MOK one next month I might be able to make that one?

Not sure if this is toward my comment if it is sorry dude. If there was a way I could be there I would. We heard about this 1 week in advance its 50 dollars from there and back in gas alone. That’s not taking entry fees or food and drink for the day into consideration. It was a possiblity when me and my friends were all goin to split the cost but 3 of the people that were gonna go couldn’t get off work to do so and I simply couldn’t foot the bill to go by myself this month. But next time for sure.
I just wanna see iowa show me something in air-dash games. P4 is just step one, GGXXACR and BBCP are right behind. It took a few years but ive got my groove back, and I want to be pushed by everyone in all 3.

November 3rd we are having a tournament in Champaign/Urbana IL. Free venue! SF4, KOF, Marvel, (more with 8+entries).
Good seeing everyone again yesterday. Hope all of ya enjoyed the Mystery tournament. 
Had to work today, which ate up significant time, so sorry for the late updates, but I finally got full results updated for MOK. Thanks for your fb post, Blake, btw. I used that to fill in the characters for some of the games.
Hey I checked this thread months ago to see if anything was going on in the Des Moines area or Ames. I live in des moines but im not too keen on driving hours and hours to play a few matches. I mainly play marvel and a little bit of ssf4 but open to other games. Im the only one of my group of friends that enjoys fighting games so it would be cool if there was a group in the des moines or ames area I could get some offline matches with and help me get better. If anyone sees this and knows of something coming up in the next month or so please hit me up and let me know. So bored playing marvel and ssf4 lagfest online it gets super frustrating.
Luckily for you, most of our scene is in Des Moines.
Are there gatherings pretty often? Like weekly or just monthly? Where do you guys gather usually?
I’m not in Des Moines (I’m sure they’ll pop in here at some point), so I can’t tell you everything, but I know Joker does a monthly thing and I hear talk about the occasional gathering. Not sure if there are any consistent weekly things, but I’m sure someone will clarify.
Gatherings in Des Moines have been spotty at best over the last few months.
