Investors want Microsofts new CEO to kill Xbox, Bing and Surface

Killing off Xbox doesn’t benefit anybody. This is coming from a PS fan.

Sega doesn’t even have enough money to euthanize 20+ year old hedgehog. What makes you think they could afford making a new console?

So they’re looking for short-term short-sighted management as opposed to long-term plans? Sounds like a winning solution.

With all the aggressive marketing Xbox has been doing vs their competition, if sega takes over that spot…

we might see a return…

oooOOOoooofffff…

As much as people don’t want it hear it the loss of xbox could bring gaming to its knees, put tons of people out of a job, and slow its overall advancement.
There aren’t many that can afford xbox that know what they’re doing. If the wrong company gets it and it dies soon after we’re looking at another gaming crash.

None of these consoles are safe. Sony is struggling financially, Microsoft is divided internally about what to do with their Xbox division, and Nintendo has to put Mario in Happy Meals in order to boost his relevance. There is no war and nobody should be picking sides, they should be hoping shits get better for everyone. Otherwise we’re stuck buying high end PCs, Steam Machines, and being brainwashed by PC master race propaganda for gaming going forward.

when was the last time investors have ever said anything smart?

they’re literally the financial equivalent of stream monsters

I honestly don’t feel like MS is actually that integral to the gaming climate. I honestly feel like in MS dumped the console not much would really change. If anything it’s Sony who keeps MS somewhat honest, not the other way around.

Sammy is loaded. It would be their call to get into consoles then parade Sega’s name on the box if they want.

But seriously, nobody else is interested in bleeding the money required to be relevant in home consoles these days. Xbox begins and ends with MS.

All consoles are just inferior PCs with system exclusives anyway…
If you are posting here and are against the PC market, I have a question: Why do you not want games on a “console” that you already own and appeals to both high end AAA developers (graphics, user base) and indie developers (easiest to program, free/cheap distribution) alike?

Surface used to be an interactive coffee table but some where along the line it became a standard tablet.

Kill Windows 8 before anything

shoehorn your stupid “pc is the best” argument into some other thread

@Sonicabid just mad he can’t afford a controller, let alone an actual console

“I stream NES games and 1980s shareware all day and u guys should listen to my current gen opinions. They are totally valid and im not a complete tool”

SEGA needs to get in this bitch and give Sony real competition.

Xbox had their best launch ever. Not going anywhere. I understand you guys have system allegiances and all of that shit, but you’re going to have competition and you’re going to like it. I like the games on the Xbox One and they’re not going to go away because of the same rumors that have been flying around for years but never fall into fruition.

Will be getting a PS4 soon also, so not into the whole system war crap. Only thing I don’t like is Nintendo, but yeah never liked that.

I can fap to this. Make it happen M.Soft!!

I thought you were being sarcastic since you’re the one who posted that link that exposed how corrupt Sammy really is. Also it’s simple capitalism, if the Xbox brand dies that will only make Sony and Nintendo more lazy and less motivated to compete for your dollar. You guys like to think all high and mighty of your precious favorite company, but let’s face it this is a business don’t think that any one big developer/publisher is immune to corruption. Look at what happened to football fans.

As far as yakuza influence, I wouldn’t really consider Sammy any more corrupt than Sony or Nintendo. Not like I know 1st hand, but everything I’ve read suggests no Japanese business is 100% clean of yakuza involvement. That could mean 99% clean, or 70% or 50% depending on the company.

And the main issue isn’t ‘my console is better than your console.’ In this industry right now, a game selling millions of copies can actually be a negative point on financial reports. Companies and dev studios live and die by massively expensive “AAA” games, where both hardware and software companies aren’t profitable until late in the console’s life, or every year that the new big Grand Theft Auto isn’t on sale. The industry is too volatile right now, and Sony and MS took their lumps last gen (Nintendo is getting beat up this gen).

Mobiles/PCs, Japan’s lack of interest in consoles, and everyone’s lack of interest in Nintendo consoles, are minor problems, but those are all sources of revenue the console biz would love to have right now.

Good riddance!!! Microsoft should go back to its roots with Windows and maybe even DOS!!!
