InuYasha vs Ippo? ...Shonen Fighting Game for PSP

No beta testing would help this game.

I notice that in corners the game can get confused as to which side you’re on, which doesn’t help during launch combos with, say, Croissant/Ringo. It affects other characters as well, meaning that you’ll start, say, walking backwards or getting the wrong move coming out.

JUS is still a tie with Battle Stadium D.O.N in my view. I wonder why they didn’t pop off a Shonen Jump sequel to that shit.

But the more I play the game I see what they were going for. This game needed a little more work and it coulda been some fire. At it’s base it’s a decent fighter with some complex shit if you look.

Right now as I see it, Kenichi is God Tier. Dude has a 70% Combo with Shio as his assist right now. Other characters have wild shit and I’ll make a couple vids showing off the crazy shit in this game.

The ice guy from Fairy Tail’s assist attack (It’s Natsu’s default assist) seems to have some good potential, but the game doesn’t seem to want to let me do anything with it. It’s a wall of ice that constantly hurts the opponent, and you could theoretically roll or jump behind them for some unblockable bs, but jumping over it seems to take you abnormally high and rolling behind seems to push you further away too. Kind of weird.

Imported this just because of Kenichi lol! At this point I don’t even care if it sucks since there hasn’t been a single new PSP game that I’ve wanted to play for a freaking year… Oh well should arrive any day now…

I got a combo for ya.
Basic Mode Natsu:
Activate Burst Mode, Square->Activate Assist, Square, Dash Punch, Dash Punch Explosion Super.

I’ll expand on combos later with the Tech Versions of the combos.

Tech Mode Kenichi
(Square, Square, Triangle X 3, Circle->Activate Assist)X2, Hold :r:, Square, Square, Triangle x 3, Circle, :qcf: + Circle->:l::r:+R Trigger

If you’re feeling freaky then you can add :hcb: + Circle button before the :l::r:+R Trigger and cancel that to super.

This is my BnB with Kenichi. Learn this shit. More as I discover it.

Natsu can do dash square, square, c.square, triangle, triangle, c.circle, :qcf: any button, super of your choice. I use Erza assist over Gray but that’s me.

This game is alright but it could’ve definitely been better. Can’t even combo from jump ins :crybaby:

Nice combos Rexx, gonna have to practice those. Didn’t know you could cancel his super from his HCB move, the game didn’t seem to want to let me do it when I tried. Timing seems a bit off on some things to me.

Croissant has Square, Triangle, F+Triangle, (B+Circle) QCB+Circle as a basic combo.

As soon as you do the HCB immediately cancel into Super.

Is the gameplay 2D with 3d characters? like sf4

More like Cel-Shaded characters. But still a good game nonetheless. The more I play the more I discover new shit I can do.

I’ll probably regret this but I’ll try it in a few minutes.

I just noticed something on the videos. It looks like you can be hit from behind.

Can anyone that has this confirm that you do not have to manually turn your character around,and the game does it for you?

Its not as bad as shaq fu, or most games. Just that theres a few things off with it. The entire game isnt crappy.
