The thing is, I wouldn’t mind MK living however for most of the series, he was in my opinion the most annoying character within the series, and it got so frustrating at one point for me that I just wanted his character to die.
He’s slightly more likeable now since he’s actually set on something, his attire and hairstyle looks pretty legit, and he’s not as bratty anymore.
However, you very well may be right, and I remember many, many post back or years I should say, that I made the prediction similar to what you said too, in that I feel that Sunny and the older generation may “die” in sacrifice for the next generation.
I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone like Sunny, Widow all kicked the bucket, while MK, Tilda live on and end up raising Henry as their adopted son in the more “peaceful” era. That to me would be incredibly bittersweet.
Sadly that’s exactly what I imagined, a convulsing bloodsoaked Sunny coughing blood begging M.K. to take care of Henry before dying like a G.
So basically the last scene would be M.K. and Tilda raising toddler Henry in a log cabin in the woods as the prologue, but I felt writing it out might make it real. Lol.
Fuck M.K he’s easily the worst character on the show. He needs to die.
Yeah no I don’t get how the master lost. Given the guy can cancel the Gift but she is probably trained to counter that with everything that she already knows…
So I hade to wait till today to watch last monday’s ep since I gotta wait until Rioting Soul comes over to watch…and this episode was definitely on some BS. The preview for the next episode seems to emply that the Master is trying to play the long game and if thats the case Ill take that cause there is no way in hell I can accept what I just witnessed. She was handling his ass base form and then they both pop trigger and he fuckin steam rolls her. Steam rolling someone who has had the gift for probably most of her life and has mastered it enough to have force powers…honestly it feels like when Snoke died in The Last Jedi. At least the Widow and Chau fight went as expected. Also man…poor redacted…:(. Sunny is not going to be happy when he wakes up and I’m suspecting his sister is with Black Lotus.
Low ratings. The creators actually had a season 4 planned, but after AMC didn’t renew. They had to scramble up a way to conclude the series with this season. Which makes sense because it is clearly a rushed job.
It’s sad to see the entire predicament of this show, and I feel that it should’ve been given a bigger push by AMC imo. WD has clearly runs its course, and I’m not really interested in any of AMCs other shows at it stands.
My ONLY gripe with Badlands was that sometimes the acting and the story was fairly corny, along with certain shots but the fighting has always been solid overall (although going to admit, too much wire working isn’t always my thing. I actually prefer Old School Sunny from S1 to where their wasn’t a large portion of wire working and he was just ruthless.).
To this day I still can’t understand how GoT won the “fighting award” over Season 1 Into the Badlands which had Way Superior Fighting choreography.
This last episode was really good, the fighting with Sunny was absolutely top notch and I really enjoyed it. Also, Rufus got the Resurrection Assist, the boy is back!
Lastly, I’m very sad to see this series go, and from here on I know that I’m going off topic.
However a new Asian fighting series called Warrior (It’s already two episodes in!) which was a script that was conceived from written notes by Bruce Lee himself with executive producer being Shannon Lee his own daughter on Cinemax just debuted and it’s absolutely Amazing!
Unlike into the Badlands, their is absolutely no wirework, it’s far darker, with more dramatic acting.
I highly recommend supporting Warrior since with the tapping out of Badlands, this should be the New Series that we should all give a chance.
Tell that to the ratings. Also there’s a reason you don’t see countless of martial arts in mainstream movies. Aside from the fact that no one wants Asians to have lead roles.
You realize my response was humorous right? As someone that has been a fan of martial arts movies and shows my whole life I know the deal. Kung Fu was Bruce Lee’s show and they gave the role to David Caradine. I mean Daniel Wu had to go to Asia to get decent roles before Into The Badlands. It’s fucked up. All I can do is watch the shows and plunk down my cash on the rare occasion when a movie hits theatres.
