Interstellar (from the director of The Dark Knight Trilogy & Inception)

I saw the movie, it decent not his best work. Far too literally for my taste, perhaps a result of people not getting Inception (I know right). Really didn’t need to emphasize Murph’s ghost, it gave the ending away before the movie had even got going. Also scientist debating love as another phenomenon, I really wish he’d let the audience figure that out for ourselves I think it would have left a lasting impression, it was too heavy handed. I really liked how they dealt with time, they explained it well and when they fucked up you really felt it. Superb acting from Matthew Mcconaughey.

Loved the score, Hans did a great job, the organ during the chase scene with Matt Damon was so intense, I throw the word epic around a lot but I think it’s fitting in this case. Sucks the track isn’t on the album >_<
Mountains was really cool though (those aren’t mountains FUUUUUU!!!).

There a new soundtrack on the way apparently which contains a bunch of tracks that were then chopped up and altered to fit the movie, it’s called Illuminated Star Projection Edition

Heres the original of Mountains called Tick Tock

LMAO those robots were superb, the entire cinema was laughing out loud.

‘A’

Totally agree about that soundtrack.
The guy you linked has done an amazing job putting together “Imperfect Lock” that you mentioned is not on the sound track.

Damn, March 2015 until blu ray release.

I’ve been itching to see it again in high quality.

edit:

Is this it?

Nope that’s not the one (great track though), I think the track is called “No Time For Caution”, it’s played as they scramble to recover the station whilst it’s spinning out of control.

That part when the airlock blew made me jump out of my seat.

Well, maybe this version is what you want, no time for caution:

Good movie.

The main key that struck home with me was the concept behind Love.

It’s a force of nature that really needs more exploration in life, and I love how they made it the main factor behind it all.

So did this movie:

Watched this Saturday night and really enjoyed it:

[details=Spoiler]When Ronnie (you can tell; he’s a Ronnie all day) was behind the bookshelf, I was filled with dread. I did not expect a happy ending and I would have respected the tragic end with him being trapped there indefinitely.

But, I was really happy with how it ended. [/details]

If it was a Kubrick film, he would have been trapped for eternity.

If it was a Kubrick film… wait, he already did that, it’s called 2001.

It was a bit hard not to, Nolan made the movie too literal to miss.

Nothing wrong with literal. But why are you even brining that up? you guys got like 10 pages of “deep” talk when the movie wasnt even deep or hard to understand.

Similar, probably one of the older movies he drew inspiration from.

Since its not deep sum up the whole movie in one sentence

Other planets are crazy, and back home gravity is just math.

Muuuuuuurph!!
Nobody knows what happened with Tom at the end of the movie, he’s probably dead.

Finally saw it… what a dragged out, ponderous, over-hyped piece of shit.

The whole time, I was thinking this was just a really bad attempt at remaking 2001 by someone with only a small fraction of the ability of the original director.

Shame because McConaughey was great with the terrible dialogue he was given. Reminds of True Detective where so many people were tricked into thinking it was a great show when really, he and Harrelson were holding up the whole thing.

Pure tripe.

holy shit, you came back after what, 7 years??
