it looks a lot better afterwards, but the colours are weird

its Mirage color changing paint. It goes from blue to red depending on how the light hits it. In bright light it changes all crazy.

I went with mirage because I am putting a Kaimana LED board in it… if you notice the top is THICK plexi and it is beveled around the buttons and edges… this thing is gonna glow all crazy when done and I want the paint to match it.

How you see it now (see through) is also how its going to look after wired. I am doing a custom stealth wiring job so it will look like everything is floating in the case with hardly any wires visible.

It’s chameleon paint @dej. It changes from blue to purple in different lights. I think FoeHammer actually posted pics on their FB this morning or last night. It looks a LOT better now.

That Flash stick is looking good @Eddie_Dominguez

oh, i guess im just a scrub at this stuff, lol.

i gotta paint my TE later on lol. these colours seems nice

The good folks at FH posted my mid paint pic that I tagged em in… Foe hammer unfinished cases are diamonds just waiting to be cut.

Love those guys… even the unfinished case I got from them looks good on its own.

is that a really old deathadder? i remember the LEDS on the side of my very first - im on my third right now

but yeah, i love the edges on them

That bad boy getting the Kaimana treatment?

nope… that is my absolute favorite razor mouse of all time over the years. Its the Razor Copperhead. I have 2 backups for parts and scour ebay for them because it is my go-to mouse. I claw grip and really like the rubber piping sides.

oh, yeah. i dont think i’ll ever move away from the deathadder lol. copperhead was real big a few years back, but i remember it as being real nice.

does that paint work on plastics to?

yup very much so… the plexi top is going to diffuse the light so well with the beveled edges, especially around the buttons.

going to paint the inside walls of the case as well… once its done i will post it.

the mirage paint can be used on plastics however I haven’t tried it myself.
I dont like to paint plastics unless they arent going to be constantly touched (like car trim).

I agree. That’s going to look really good with the thick plexi and all those angles.

Does the mirage paint come in a rattle can or did you mix/spray it with a paint sprayer? I was thinking of doing a pearl white stick, the paint is expensive but I’d love for it to match my car.

I got the rattle

Love this thread so far. I can make a stick but painting it is another story lol

I cant wait for this, also that mirage paint looks fantastic.

Checking this thread in 2017, Im guessing the tutorial wasn’t finished.

But to answer your questions, I know ed1371 pretty well, he does not have much free time.
But at this time ED is too busy with the various events and everyday happenings of his life to come back and finish the tutorial.

Until we see Ed come in and finish the Tutorial, consider the thread is going to remain in a unfinished state.

Hah I remember making some announcements on message boards but them falling through the cracks anyways.

I’ll find the info otherwise, but it will just take me longer, but no biggies. Plenty of good tips in the thread as it is.

sorry for not coming through with this. I am extremely busy with work these days but i am more than willing to walk folks through the steps. hit me up via pm if you want it.
