I agree. They are being pretty faithful to how people fight, so why would they suddenly let Batman Kick a guy through a building 200 feet away?

That G4 trailer made the gameplay trailer made Injustice look nothing like Mk9. Nightwing especially is looking great with that staff combat
The batmobile’s a new super. So far, the stage transitions can only be triggered a specific move which is good news for people whining about how long they take. Standalone, you have to charge the move for a second (or at least it has hella windup). You can use it in combos, but it looks like you have to burn a bar of super to cancel into it.
Superman has kind of a big right hook, Flash has a Lee Pai Long esque spin move, Harley rocks the hammer, Grundy’s got an uppercut, and Cyborg has a battletoads big fist hook.
Batman is the only one to demonstrate using specials to cause transitions. In the release trailer he uses his grapple kick for a side transition and at Evo he used the grapple slam to down transition.
Blah blah blah speculation on heroes… but what about villains?
Darkseid is probably a gimme, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Yeah, I was on Twitter and Boon definitely did say the Batman’s new super is the Batmobile bit we saw in the trailer.
Gotta say, that’s pretty awesome because I was hoping Batman would get some kind of straight damage dealing super. It’s also cool because perhaps that means other characters will have other supers as well.
Here’s hoping there are a few “utility” supers in the game as well… y’know, Stalking Flare/Berserker Charge/ Ouroburos type dealios. Cool, flashy cutscenes are neat and all, but I’d take a Spiral Swords or Aegis Reflector over that any day.
I really like Zatanna. A magic character and they’d have to make her say her spells backwards. I’m sorry, but saying words backwards as a spell is FUCKING AWESOME to me.
John John’zz seems like an auto choice to me. He’s a Justice Leaguer, a shape-shifter, has super strength, and can fly. These things can EASILY be translated into a fighting game and make him unique from the rest of the cast. The shape shifting opens him up to be a Dhalsim or a like Twelve from SF3. Unless the game adds Clayface to be the shapeshifter, Martian Manhunter looks like a lock to me.

If Mxyzplk is voiced by Gilbert Godfred like in the Superman Cartoon… that would be the best thing ever.
Plus Bizarro should be in the game somehow, even if just an alt costume.
So there will be multiple supers, or did they change batmans? If there are multiple ones… that would be awesome and really cool, plus adding more depth to the characters.
I can see characters like Cyborg or Flash having Utility supers. Cyborg gets am Ouroburos like thing, and Flash gets a time slow down one.

Well to be fair (and not kill your hopes) he only ruled out Hawkman. For all we know, maybe they didn’t want to put in Hawkman because they already have Hawkwoman and they thought two winged armoured warriors was enough.
Or maybe Ed Boon just doesn’t like Hawkman, lol.

I like Zatanna a lot myself. For me it’s her design. The look of a classic magician just really works with her, and adds to her. I also want her in the game, along with 2 other magic users, Dr. Fate and Raven. all three use magic, but in totally different ways and styles.
Hmm, I didn’t think that about John. Yeah, I could see him fighting by morphing his body like Dhalsim. A much faster Dhalsim. I support this.

If I had to pull a short list of characters I wanted to see: Zatanna, One of the Martians,Ms. or Manhunter, Blue Beetle, Swamp Thing and the never going to happen pick: Tommy Monaghan or John Constantine
Vagina quota is how Hawkgirl got her spot in the Justice League cartoon. If we get a kickass character I’m all for it.
