DC is all about status quo. Turning Alan Scott gay doesn’t change his character at all. It just means he prefers dick. Wonder Woman mythos tweaked but by no means a complete overhaul. She’s still an amazon, her mythos still neck deep in Greek mythology. Only important change made is she’s now a demigod rather than being a clay figure brought to life.

Really, when he worked on mk vs dc he seemed to act like it would never happen, it’s one of the only reasons im worried about his chances for inclusion.
Wouldn’t mind that version but it is a little out of date, but his modern version is pretty awesome.

Apparently he originally really did have super strength, and mostly spent his time destroying U-boats. Honestly the old version does okay if it’s not in a (n obviously) shared universe.
Oh I know, let’s face it aquaman does okay, unless he is in superfriends. That is literally the only universe in which he is useless, but that has defined the public perception of him. Shame really. There are tons of actually useless characters to make fun of. For example
It’s always funny to me how a bunch of Aquaman fans seem to have some insecurity about being Aquaman fans. They always have to prove to people that he is badass like it matters what a few people think.
As soon as the Justice League movie comes out Aquaman’s rep will be fine just be patient. I’ve seen so many vids on youtube and things called “why Aquaman is badass” or “Respect Aquaman” it’s really funny.
He even has a song about it that actually really cool but I can never find it :(. Shame because it was stuck in my head for awhile, whoever wrote it was awesome.

Which is even more obnoxious lol. I think in your case it may be a bit of both but really I always thought Namor was a lamer version of Aquaman and he should have always been the one made fun of imo.
He runs around in see-weed panties trying to steal other people girlfriends and almost always fails. And when he does get to nail one he’s just the rebound guy until they take the other guy back or find a new dude.
He’s gotten better now but it’s hard for me to forget that his purpose for like a decade was just to break up Sue and Reed.

Technically Namor came first so depending on your perspective it would be the other way around, with Aquaman being the more awesome/lame version of Namor. sits smugly not realizing this just shows I have no life
Namor tends to be more polarizing than aquaman for readers, he has a more extreme personality, so some love him some hate him. He is very historically notable though (first antihero in comics, first with the ability to fly etc.)

Oh I’m not shocked at all at any of those characters being in except Nightwing who I was worried about Batman meaning he gets overlooked. But he’s my favorite out of those by far, been a Nightwing fan(boy) since the 90’s.
I just like to have one Male Main and one Female Main and Harley and Wondy look meh to me right now. I’ll hopefully have Nightwing for close ranged battles but I really want Raven,Zantanna, or maybe Fire for zoning.
I tend to love managing distance and being a zoner, it’s my natural playstyle so I hope one of my fav characters can do that.
