The most fun characters to watch in this game are…
Spoiler
I don’t know because everybody plays the same damn characters
it’s more or less like that in every fighting game, but a lot more so in this game for some reason. all the characters i thought would be popular aren’t haha. why make a game with twenty+ characters when everyone’s just gonna use them same five?
Welcome to competetive fighting games

In how many games is that different?
Oh and I’ll tell you, not many once the game is broken down. Here’s what will happen. Open a bit at the beginning, constricts to a small few a bit later so people can win, opens back up when the engine is understood and the patches aren’t as plentiful so time is given, and then constricts one last time to the eventual end game.
We’re at that second part right now.
The characters I enjoy watching.
Shazam
Joker
Lex
Harley
Grundy
Bane
Doomsday
Ares
Scorpion
Flash
Green Arrow
Non zoning Nightwing
Zod
Batgirl
I’m sick of, but don’t really mind that much.
Aquaman
Batman
Green Lantern
Non zoning Black Adams
Catwoman
Killer Frost
Deathstroke
Neutral
Raven
Sinestro
Hawkgirl
Cyborg
Lobo
Actively hate.
Zoning Black Adams
Superman
Honestly, just fuck Superman.
Maybe nerf Black Adams lightning bolt. They already removed his divekick spam, so that helps a lot.
i’ve run into a few black adam players who just refuse to divekick now that it’s punishable haha. i know it’s punishable at maximum height, but i’m not sure about when he does it low to the ground. hard to test since you can’t set the AI to divekick reversal.
i really don’t understand his lightning: it’s a full screen low, tracks, MB does 19%, and blocking it pushes you back a lot. i wonder if any black adam changes will be coming in the manhunter patch. i just like that i can actually beat him now.
Found this amusing.
Closer to topic, I can get hype for pretty much any playstyle of Injustice so as long as it isn’t super-hard zoning or too much repetition (F23man, I’m looking at you).
I dunno what the difference is, to be honest. Marvel and SF zoning is tense, like someone might, as some moment, just break through and get in. Even MorriDoom has some sense of tension around it. Injustice zoning is just… dull.
I said, way back in the beginning, that Injustice was never going to be a great game for the tournaments.
But I also think people have given a false importance to tournament play. I mean who here, in this thread, made it to the top 32 in any major tournament this year?
Nobody.
And it’s all day, every day “tournament this”, “tournament that” as if there isn’t a friend left on earth you could play this game or any other game with.
I don’t think I was ever really tournament material. I spent some of the best years of my life just playing all these fighting games with/against my best friend. That’s where the magic of all these games will always be for me. Then you could actually have those endless Joker vs Solomon Grundy matches because there won’t be $6000 and a plane trip with hotel accommodations on the line.
Frankly I could give two squirts of piss what REO, Brady, or any of the other tournament players think. I didn’t buy the game for them. I bought the game… quite specifically (and I’ve said it often), to play as the Joker.
So that’s just what I do. (Until I get mad and Scorpion the shit out of somebody because Netherealms won’t even allow me to play in my best friend’s region…)

I’ve said it many times and I’ll say it again, the only reason I haven’t made Top 32 in any tourneys is because I haven’t been able to GO to any tourneys.
I’m not normally very arrogant in any game I play other than maybe jokingly. But I do believe in my abilities over others in this game. Hopefully if I’m able to go to Summer Jam I can prove myself.
Casuals are always fun but the problem is that absolutely no one near me vicinity wise is near my level. You’ll say why does that matter? Because my friends absolutely DESPISE playing Fighting Games with me. They’ll literally ban me from playing with them when I’m over there because I make it too academic. Since they won’t learn how to get better, and I don’t blame or look down on them for doing so since it’s a big time commitment, then I don’t have that said magic.
Playing Fighting Games in my town is like when I went to school and got into a math class. I was despised because it wasn’t that hard for me while everyone else really had to work at it. And my personality won’t allow me to not try and learn something to my full potential. I can’t just play like crap for the sake of others, I’m not hardwired that way and honestly it sucks but there’s nothing I can do about that.
So for me? Tournament play, high level play, it’s all I have. If I can’t have it, I don’t play it because it’s not satisfying to me and my friends aren’t interested in playing with me. In terms of gaming in this town? I’m utterly alone.
well, i didn’t think MVC3 was going to last at tournaments, but it’s there. with injustice, i noticed some people weren’t as good as they should be after playing the game for three months. either they’re relying too much on counterpicking, or they’re not mentally invested in the game like they should be.
by the way, i broke down and got the ame comi pack; harley’s costume is a better version of her classic costume and catwoman’s is oddly cool. i also found, when harley’s back is towards the screen and you use tantrum stance, the black part of her jester hat moves in a circle for the duration of the move lol. it looks funny.
MK9 was a counterpick heavy game and that habit got transferred over to Injustice. I don’t think matchups in this game are so bad you need to play someone else to win. Unless you main Bane
But you just said you DON’T have it… You haven’t been able to go to any tourneys.
There’s still online play. And there are a lot of high-level opponents online. Sure you have to deal with lag and stuff… but that’s par for the course.
It’s a shame you can’t play this game internationally. Because if you get the rare decent connection to somebody in Japan… you’re in for a treat. (Although I don’t think Injustice is out in Japan. MK9 either never came out in Japan or it just came out recently.)

Which is why I only ever train until I’m able to go, hopefully for Summer Jam.
Online play is not a substitute without Rollback Netcode and even WITH it, it’s barely passable.
Any time I’m not able to play against good players, I’m training in the game or I’m studying the game. And obviously I can’t play against good players around here. This isn’t a Fighting Game town. It’s all about the shooters and sports games around here for which I really don’t care for. And the Single Player games just aren’t as good as they used to be.
Honestly it might be a good thing in the end. Less focus on gaming, more focus on my actual life but I really would like to be able to gauge my progress in a game that isn’t SFxT. But whining about my situation won’t change it. I’ll just do what I have been doing. Like I said, this is all I got.

Well then just do everything possible to make sure you ARE at SummerJam. Save up the cash, call in sick at work, tell everybody you’re in quarantine for a week… whatever you’ve gotta do.
If I was in the states I’d probably go to every tournament that isn’t in the south. (I was… and have remained… pretty skeptical about the south… I had two friends who were pulled over and locked up for two days in Kentucky… for having long hair.)
I would’ve went to EVO for sure (because I love Vegas), and CEO as well. I wouldn’t have dared participate in Marvel, but I’d have tried my luck with Injustice, Tekken Tag, King of Fighters, and maybe even SFxT for the pure hell of it.
While online play is no substitute for tournament play… it’s what we’ve got.
Personally I’ve always favored Training mode with Computer AI on the hardest setting. (Which is always harder than the regular mode AI.) Once you can tame that then you can just put yourself in all kinds of disadvantageous situations and see if you can still win. I’m pretty sure that’s how ComboFiend perfected his technique. Give yourself practically no power set yourself up in the corner… and practice the hell out of winning anyway.
The top tournament players for Injustice are all ASSHOLES. All of them. They’ve been so focused on their tournament money that they don’t even know how to play the game. And it’s hurt the community because all they’ve done is copycat. Then they go online and talk about how much the game they’ve ruined sucks.
Fuck 'em.
God you’re a whiny bitch.
Also @Husteen Adam’s Dive Kick is punishable at all heights unless it’s Meter burned.
they updated the injustice ios app again, but it’s still problematic on my ipod 4. it would be nice if there were new costumes to unlock.
New S.T.A.R. Lab missions are coming on Tuesday, July 23.
Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion, and General Zod - 10 missions each.
i don’t think anyone liked star labs haha.
lol. I’m hoping they also get new skins with it. Also have their endings available in the archives.
You I have a few questions,
What are the hit confirms in this game.
I also main superman and wake up pressure is hell especially against batman and green arrow. Batman j2 crosses up a lot and green arrow was wierd, I would hold back he would hit low, I would hold down back and still get hit overhead, trying to recreate these situations in training mode but in clueless on wake up lol.
