Wow… You can actually poke Black Adam out of his Cage wakeup attack with BA’s D3…

Anyone have some basic Wonder Woman combo videos? I just need to see some starting strings to get my gears turning. It feels weird that I dont play a female character in this game (since I do in all other fighters, not by intention though)

IIRC we tested it to have 2F of invincibility at most. And I think that’s the best he can do on wakeup.

So yeah, don’t use it. I don’t think I ever use that move outside of combos.

wow really? black adam’s wakeup cage always beats what i’m doing, even a crossup. i’ve even played with it in training mode some, and it seemed to be really good.

tom brady said that there are three types of wakeup attacks:

  1. no invincibility
  2. invincibility on startup (until the first active frame of the attack. if the attack doesn’t make contact, the normal hurtbox will return)
  3. fully invincible

i don’t think it’s possible for his cage to have only 2 frames of invincibility, unless it starts up in 2 frames.

Hmm, I just messed with it some more and it looks like you’re right. Although you can still easily hit him while he’s doing the move, the startup seems to be invincible. I last tested it before the release patch, so that might have something to do with it.

Either way, I wouldn’t really recommend using it on wakeup, it’s far too punishable and trades/loses to a lot of normals.

I think I have to give up on Injustice. My scene doesn’t play it and the online is unplayable. Spectator esportin’ I guess.

Do what you must. If you have no one to play it with, it’s not worth keeping. Nor is any FG in those conditions.

I’d trade it in now while it still has some value.

Or, just keep the game if you enjoy it anyway. Personally, the only FGs I’ve ever sold were KoFXII and SCIV.

I do enjoy it, just its… weird. Normally I spend some time in practice, work a combo, figure a setup or how to get out of one, then hop online for practice. Next time I play in my scene or at a tourney, see how much better or worse I do. With all that gone… I dunno. Its still fun, but the single player modes aren’t going to last forever. Star Labs is pretty meh IMO.

It seems silly to consider selling it but on the other hand I don’t know if I’ll play it. Sucks when this happens when your hype about a game.

Still if it’s his best option on wakeup… then you don’t really have a choice but to use it. Otherwise you’re just rolling. And I’d rather cage than roll. It’s still invincible on start-up and you need deadly accuracy to hit him out of it. It’s not hard in training mode… but in the heat of battle it might be. So probably still worth the risk. Especially if your opponent isn’t sitting there waiting. And if he’s doing that? Then you can just roll.

Not MUCH value though. Most places have already marked it down to 49.99. I traded my first copy to gamestop and only got 16 bucks for it. (Just happened to have it on me and needed cab fare.)

I’m too old. I completely missed this era where tournaments are all over the place in the states now. I left the U.S. 13 years ago. Back then you had tournaments on the east coast and west coast… but nothing really in Chicago. And the few tournaments they have while I was living in Tokyo? PFFT! FAHGEDDABOUTIT! Good place to pick up new skills (especially in the first Tekken Tag…) But you were lucky to win a ROUND against the worst Japanese player in those days. (Shinjuku!)

That said I don’t even have a concept of tournament play. I play to improve my own skill. My proudest moment was setting practice mode ai to the hardest setting (with unlimited life, meter, etc) in UMvC3 and reaching a point where I could beat the shit out of that lying, cheating computer.

Hardest setting in Injustice (in practice mode… never-ending unlimited meter) isn’t bad either… But Marvel’s was something ELSE!

I have a lot of TTT2 videos up too. Online is great when you can get it. But I spent months in the lab with that game perfecting the techniques. It can take you months just to learn certain MOVES in that game. I’m on my second copy of Injustice now… At this point I’d keep it just for the lab. So when new techniques (like the O.S.) pop up… I could keep on top of it.

Well waiting any longer will make it just a coaster.

Nahhh! That’s what Halo is for.

Halo is still a gem. Coaster games are CoD’s and Sports games since they are, quite literally, a dime a dozen in my opinion.

On topic, do you guys find the online’s gotten a tad better? I remember one of the Batgirl patch notes was “improving” online stability. I’m not trying to sound like a negative nelly, but it seems pretty much the same to me, I can do shit online outside of zoning folk with Aquaman’s Trident stab.

online has been really good to me the past two days. it can still stand to be better, though.

Ehh maybe my net was acting up again. Think I’ll give it another shot.

Same with me. I’ve been pulling of Doomsday’s 38% combo’s online, it is tricky since it requires a d2, b3 after a MB earth shake. I used to always drop it online. either the online has gotten better, or I have gotten better at hitting it online.

Random thought: what if all supers in this game did unscaled damage? If select ones did unscaled damage?

you mean like green arrow’s? =/

GA’s isn’t unscaled damage.

well green arrow’s super is a reset super. it’s unblockable and inescapable in some setups; therefore, it doesn’t scale. yes?
