I agree, with that said I would love if superman prime was a secret character or something…very unlikely since he is a direct swap of supes but I think maybe as a hidden boss it could be fun.
On a different note does anyone know if the combo system is MVC3 style or MK9 style?
So far the game looks good. I think for comic book fans that might visuals similar to the Vs series. I can tell that the Visual style is similar to MK9. But Superman does have a flight game and the combos in this game from what I have seen so far are pretty solid. As far as the crazy space flying superman or hanging up side down Batman don’t know if like X-ray moves or like a family friendly fatalities. Either way the game seems fun. The one thing I am curious about is the stage hazards. If there is any option to make the items and stage hazards turned off then I see every major tourney having it off. Just like every Smash bros with items tourney and Street Fighter X Tekken with gems having them off. Which means pretty much it will be fun to play as a casual but higher lvls won’t want Stage Hazards. Also the Clash system sounds very unique. Reminds me a lil bit of the DBZ fighting games. But interesting to bet meter while the characters are trash talking each other.
If the interactive stages are fair and interesting, I can’t see a reason to turn them off, other than devotion to orthodoxy.
I was wondering when the convo would turn to “Which GL should be represented in the game.” And I gotta say, neither Kyle nor John should be in the game…it should be Guy Gardner.
Think about it, the other Lanterns have a certain sense of finesse when they use their rings. Some more than others, but it’s still there. Guy is the one Lantern I can see actually throwing down and even forgetting he has the ring while throwing haymakers. Perfect for this game! Plus, if you need further convincing, two words…

Hal or John are the only real choices, that’s it. You should have stopped at Parasite and Ivy.
Kyle is the best Lantern and you all know it. Though I do like the Guy suggestion though.

LOL no. Neither one of them is believable going against Supes or Bats or Wondy. Can we get serious guys? The GL in this game will either be Hal Jordan or John Stewart. The others don’t have a chance.
My money’s on Hal but I could see John getting in because he’s the second most popular GL and they need a black fighter in the game. I wonder if Martian Manhunter will play like Kenshi or Ermac or both?

He bugs me because of the wasted potential of his character. His background, a character who read dc comics and ended up a part of them is actually interesting. Then he ended up an overpowered plot device who ruined any cool moments he had by saying something completely stupid mid moment. Black Adam may not have been as strong, but he pulled off the superman type on a rampage thing better.
Even if I did like him, Bizarro would be a better choice, the slight change ups he has (flame breath etc.) would make him different enough from superman. Prime would just be a clone.
Still all power to you if you like prime, he is just one of “those” characters for me.
Prime is jus the typical overpowered villain, I compare him to brolly from dbz…cool character in concept but ruined by bad writing. Although he wouldn’t have to play like a clone, they could maybe just do a oni akuma thing with him and he looks different enough that they could pull it off.
As for the GLs let’s be real here…jordan was in the movie and has his own tv series so it’s clear who the obvious choice will be.

As for Prime they could make him different, but considering the limit to spots, the fact they have regular superman and the polarized reaction to prime, it wouldn’t make much sense to have him in over other characters.
I have no problem with overpowered characters, as I said I like AMAZO. They just have to be done well, and their overpowerdness has to make sense. Amazo using the powers of the justice league to beat them up makes sense, since his powers are to use their powers. Heck even uber amazo from the cartoon makes sense since he wasn’t limited to copying just the Justice League in that verse, so he would eventually gain those absurd powers. Prime punching through reality using sheer strength is just silly.
Amazo was very looney toons at his strongest point in the comics too, I think he had the complete powers of the entire pc jl and pc legion so his power level at that point was just…fucked up lol.
Maybe prime could just be a alternate outfit in that case, although I’d love the idea of him using planets as weapons lol.
Yup Hal was always gonna be in I agree so that just makes it more obvious that Cyborg will be in. I also think like some earlier have said that he will be a heavy zoning character given his power-set and NRS’ history of having many different types of zoners in their games.
Since this game is called “Gods among us” I would like to see Lady Death in this because they are going for high powered characters. Deathstroke is guaranteed to be in so I hope he has a cooler moveset than last game.
I dunno if Shazam will get in (likely) but I really really hope Black Adam makes it in. He’s just an awesome villain that can be scary and sympathetic.

I find it hard to **believe **they’ll put in Kyle “everyone I love dies” Rayner in over the guy with a Movie and the only guy who’s filled in for him in a mainstream show.
This is a allstar game, “Gods among us” might as well read “DC Allstars Battle Royale”. My only concern is getting the best characters in this game, not the 3rd most important Lantern. If we get a lantern I want it to be Hal, if not him then the next best thing which is John but mainly Hal.

Yep, especially when he was attacked by like 30 leaguers and they were forced to disband the league to beat him. But again it wasn’t a stretch considering his abilities. Sending more leaguers to attack a person who absorbs powers from the league was a bad idea. He never showed any uber abilities not shown by the people he copied. It all made sense. Prime did whatever he felt like even if it didn’t make sense, like said continuity punch. He is like red hulk in that regard, but at least red hulk got better. Prime could have been saved at various points, but they refused to do what was needed to do so. Again I am okay with overpowered, just not poorly executed overpowered.

The guy who carried the Green Lantern book for 10 years 3rd important Lantern? Is this a joke? Even after Jordan came back, Kyle was still kicking becoming primary lead of Green Lantern Corps and being primary lead on New Guardians. Stewart has always has and always be a supporting character. Unlike the other three Lanterns, Stewart never been interesting character on his own. He needs a foil and never be a good lead character because of it. He was ok in JLU because he had Flash and Hawkgirl to keep him afloat.
