i got the infinite down now, but when i get into the corner, how exactly do u connect the proton cannon. Some people say S.hp but i do that and they are able to block the proton cannon. :pleased:

Definitely s.HP on everyone besides Sent, BH, or Jugg-- then you’ll want to use s.LP,c.MP,Proton cannon.
It does take a little getting used to, but once you get it it’s by far the easiest way to combo into PC from the infinite in the corner. Just be sure to wait for the s.HP to connect before canceling into the PC (I know it sounds obvious, but it can be a problem if you’re rushing too much).

Yeah the sHp is the best. But you cant just do a sHP anywhere in the infinite and have it connect. You have to time it right. I usually speed up 2 reps of the infinite, then do one at normal speed and then do sHPxxProton cannon.
how do you do the fly/unfly infinite?
Unfly infinite(you have to be inunfly)-launch,lk,up+hp(fly),lk, up+hp(unfly),up+hp dash up+forward,lk,up+hp(fly),lk, up+hp(unfly),up+hp dash up+forward.
You can also do different setups for it like: clp,cmp, sj cancel,lp, dash forwardlp, launc, unfly infinite.
or: launch down+hp(dash down forward),lk, up+hp(fly), lk, up+hp(unfly),up+hp dash up+forward,lk,up+hp(fly),lk, up+hp(unfly),up+hp dash up+forward.
little tip to help with the IM inf.
If you use PSY’s AAA make sure to pause a short bit because the lk will not connect if you are hitting to high.
second I could only do the inf 2 maybe 3 at best on the xbox version of MVC2 and I was getting really frustrated. I then did some research on the different console versions of MVC2. Finding out the DC version is the best I then switched. I can tell a world of difference in game speed and most of the characters seem to play different. needless to say first try after switching I was able to do over 30 hits with the IM inf. Now I can do over 50 on demand and dont have to worry about dropping the opponent.
Also the pros of the DC version is that it’s an arcade clone so your timing will be right on when you switch from playing at home to playing in the arcade.
whats the timing for the ground infinite setup on launch, hp, ad.df, lk, mk, up+hp? because i can do it maybe 5/10 times trying , but never consistently and never pulled it off on a person. on my timing i try to bust out the HP as fast as possible then ad.df when they fall, then lk lk up+hp. but all the time they can either block the lk’s or i miss them alltogether.
instead of asking questions just do it. i taught it to myself. practice…
you go away , you cant practice the infinite when you have a broken fuse in your dreamcast and a broken disc.(which is my problem ) maybe if i could play i would practice, but i cant. so i want to know the timing now so i can get it later quickly. now can someone please help me and not give me bitch comments like “practice”

OMG I tried to do that set up and for the first time I did after trying to do solo set ups for about7 months now. To make that easier take out the 2 lk’s and replace it with one lp followed with a u-fp then do infinite. ironman is hard as hell to learn and im happy that i finally got it.

itnstead of angling the hp dont…keep it straight then dash d/f…then lk,mk, hp…u gotta time the hp at the end do it to early ur rejump wont connect…what i wanna know is how to connect to unfly infinte into the ground infinite…thats his too crazy
ya , i never angle the HP, but anyways. i cant do it midscreen, its easy in the corner , but is there a specific part where ur supposed to hit the person? like in the head or something.because i just always try to do the HP as late as possible after the launch without them being able to block.
Heres an easy way to do the infinite with psy assist: launch+psy assist, :d:+:hp:, :d:+:hk(land),jump :u: :lk:,:mp:,:mk:,:u:+:hp:. Looks flashy
heres another cool corner combo with sent drones assist that looks flashy: launch+sent assist, :u:+:hp:, dash forward, :u:+:hp:, drones hit :hk:(land), jump :u:, :lk:,:mp:,:mk:, :u:+:hp:, repeat infinite.
Now since the drones hit the character, you have just gotten rid of Flying Screen, so you can do a s:hp:XXproton cannon now.

Oh i forgot, IM has a ROM infinite too(old i know). You cant do it one rep after another, you gotta do it every other rep with the regular infinite:
