Sorry I couldn’t come out. Fate decided to blow me up around 6PM. I had my stick in the car and a setup and everything with me for afterwards, since I was out with a girl, and after dinner I took her home…
And realized I had food poisoning.
Yeah. Feels bad, man. Besides feeling like absolute garbage right now, at least she called me to make sure I got home alright. :S
Good games tonight. I probably won’t be able to make all of the gatherings, but I’m definitely going to make the drive for some of them. I’ll try to show up next week and bring Vampire Darkstalkers Collection, so long as my car is working correctly.

I enjoyed meeting everyone and playing games last night at Arsenal. I think we had around 15 people in and out during the night, and more than enough setups to accomodate everyone. At one point we had 4 of the evo monitors hooked up. Next week I’ll bring mine so we won’t have to use the hd tv they have set up. It hurts your neck to play on that thing, lol.
Arsenal was happy with the business we brought in, so as long as everybody likes the location and the space they gave us, we can do this as a weekly thing. We may also have an alternate location for the 30th, we should know by next week.
If there’s any closet ST players in the city, or anybody willing to learn, you need to get to Arsenal next week. I need some competition.
Only three days remain to pre-register for Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 7, being held May 27th through 29th in Chicago IL. Those that pre-register will save money, and will have early access to their pool assignments! Thats right, early next week, you’ll be able to check your pool assignments online to see what time you play, who is in your pool, and to make sure that everything was entered correctly on our end (no missing games, no overlapping pools).

GGs to everyone who made it out to Arsenal yesterday. Was really surprised by the stupid amount of setups we had going all running different games. Definitely looking forward to next week.
Also, i’m going to be at Tilt today if anybody wants to come and play some more MvC3 or just hang out at the Arcade. Because Arcades are cool.

In light of recent events I have been inspired to do another stream quality test. The last time I tested my stream abilities was back in March. I learned last night that the Arsenal Game Room has a “decent” internet connection. Now, I haven’t tested it myself but it does sound promising.
I have not tested my stream since I got my mixer and mic…so I thought that I’d give it a go tonight. I will be running the test for about an hour (maybe 2 if I get enough viewers) around 10pm. It will be me just bullshitting around w/ MK, Marvel and maybe a little Super and hanging out.
So if your board, and not doing anything tonight come check out the test stream and tell me what you think.

Welp…I just got done wrapping up my 2nd stream test. I got one viewer 
Oh well, I’m not known for my streaming ability…but I think these are the limits of my current set up. I think I’d do better w/ a more powerful CPU and BlackMagic Card / Dazzle. The HD PVR is just not built for streaming.

If the Arsenal Game Room gathering get’s big enough I might think about streaming from there as well. But honestly we would do better if I just recored / commentated matches in HD and uploaded them to YouTube.

looked like the mic audio was a little off on the video too. other than that, it wasn’t bad
I think we would be better off just recording matches rather than streaming, especially if the stream is not of the best quality. I don’t really see too many people tuning in to watch a random Indiana stream, especially if it’s not a tournament with out of state players, whereas match videos can at least be useful to the players themselves.
I agree with everyone else Z.A.P.; streaming is just too much effort for too little reward at this point. We can possibly look into the idea again if this weekly gathering turns into ranbats. Is there anything else that gets streamed regularly on Mondays that we would be competing with?

We would like the arsenal game room meetups to become a regular thing. It’s a good venue for us right now and the first event we held there was a great success for all parties involved.
