There aren’t any infinites in MAHVEL…just loops. The engine won’t allow true infinites.
It’s the resets that kill. AFAIK, they haven’t gone anywhere.
Who needs infinites in Marvel 3 when there are easy as pie 100% combos all over the place? You get hit, you die. Nothings changed. :woot: KFC speed is also going to be an issue. Chun is mad fast…to fast to block on reaction.
It’s a new game, but people are still going to lose just as fast, if not faster. lol…everyone thinks “Yay! It’s a new game!” “I can haz winz nao!” :lol:
If you can’t beat anyone good in Marvel, why would a simpler game change anything? Those same players don’t have to worry about execution errors, blindingly fast resets or free unblockables anymore. The slim chance you had at surprising them is gone.

nah nobody from FW is out for him. haha. i’ve just been in a lot of contact with him. will be nice to meet him. it’s just too bad he doesn’t play anything besides SSF4 and Smash Bros. :sad:
IMO mags and sent don’t look that slow. sent definitely looks slower but you don’t have to fast fly anymore to do stomp patterns or to do air combos with assist. the game auto fast flies for you… which is ridiculous and fucking awesome. plus imagine sent with that lvl 3 x-factor speed boost. shit is going to be ridiculous. i think mags looks the worst of the mvc2 top 3 though. after some play time i’m sure he’ll be retarded as fuck still. they like to give “nerfs” to the returning god tiers like making lighting storm no longer knockdown, but then put in crazy buffs like easy combos into hail and the ability to still run away while you can’t even build meter to try to keep up with her while she gets to you.

As long as there is more variety in the viable characters this time around, and Wesker is one of those characters, I can live with it.
I wish Jill wasn’t DLC though, she sounds interesting and I want to try out Team Resident Evil.

Hopefully it won’t be too hard to choose, I still haven’t picked a character for Arcana Heart 3 or even narrowed it down to a top 3. There are like 10 characters that all have lots of things I like about them, fuck that game for being so interesting.
Most likely i’ll be using shuma/morrigan/dormammu in the end, but i might make a team that revolves around hulk or spiderman.
Do it! It’d be awesome if that team ended up being the best in the game.

What are you guys doin these days for gatherings. I work every weekend so I cant see being able to make it to any tourneys. But Im off work over mon tues and wed. and I could take a Thurs or Friday off easily.

The most reliable times to get games in are Tuesday and Friday down at Tilt in the mall. The only really reliable machine they have there is Super SF4 and maybe Tekken but those are the best times to go, especially Tuesday.
just got back from a whole weekend of events at Tilt… weird that there we playing smash tonight… and all the smash players i know of were nowhere to be seen

just a reminder, the third installment of T3 is next saturday at 6pm at Tilt, we’re running 3S and SSF4, it’s $15 to enter both, $10 for either, and $10 and $8 respectively with a setups for either game … of course everyone is welcome, if not to compete then to hang out all the same, i’ve been cracking loud nerd jokes all weekend and seeing everyone gives me a good chance to repeat em… and i’ll be using it as a sort of summit meeting for NTC to fill everyone in on the gameplan

Also, I have a friend who is interested in finding others for BB, but is discouraged because he thinks there is no scene here. Can we prove him wrong?
We don’t have much of a BB scene but I should be at T3 with a BB/AH3 setup for casuals, and a couple other people might play it as well. A lot of BB players play mostly/only online so there might be more than we know about.
I’m also planning on hosting some more gatherings at my house soon once the weather calms down and I figure out the dates for all the upcoming tournaments I’m going to
